Hi Guys - LOVE the way your food - both sweet and savoury looks and is presented. Your coffee too is DELISH! HOWEVER I do feel that the service by staff is disjointed and somewhat slow to recognise customers waiting for acknowledgement. I waited for 8 minutes which felt like 30 minutes to receive an acknowledgement from one of the three staff working at the service counter and all I wanted was a long black takeaway coffee! All three of them appeared to be wrapped up in their own tasks to bother about the customer waiting at the counter. Finally the male staff member (with a ginger-beard) said Hi! Yay an acknowledgement!! The two female staff members (1 with a cap and the other with glasses and a little plump) noticed me standing at the counter and even made eye contact but didn't even bother to say Hello or I won't be a moment - really? Just a suggestion - Perhaps one staff member could focus on making great coffee and providing great counter customer service with the other two staff members working the floor ie taking orders, running food and beverage plus overseeing the restaurant (it's a small eatery so it looked manageable for two staff to cover just the floor). Your customers need to be greeted as soon as they walk into your eatery. Customers can see when staff are busy and are happy to wait with a little courtesy acknowledgement. Your food and beverage is great! BUT the service needs to...

Came down from Auckland - blown away by the size and taste of the belguim square- not biscuits- brought a block back to auckland for my Invercargill boy - hubby- and next time I'm back down I'll try the neenish- sqaure - not tarts- and stock up on the gorgeous EAT relishes- really friendly staff put me in a lovvely window seat with a perfect coffee! don't usually go to trouble to review- in fact this is my first eatery or any other kind of review- nice to meet you shelley! Mark loved the belguim square- so did his mother and my son and daughter in law- Vanya - was design editor of Taste now with Good Living mag. Barb Insull - down in Ingill for the Junior Worlds Track Champs. Must try blue cod and oysters down by the signpost in bluff and battered oysters and cod -all hot and out of a packet - on...

Had lunch there today - waited 10 mins to have order taken then was advised 20-25 min delay for food as they were busy. Not ideal but accepted. However it was 45 mins before food arriving in 3 different carries - there was 4 of us - this alone would decide for me that I wouldn't come back. However the steak I had while cooked well was the worst cut I think I ever had - there were lines of grisel all through it and part of the steak was raw - don't mind it medium rare but this was more rare than cooked (we weren't asked how we liked our steak cooked either) - put it this way the steak knife wasn't sharp enough to cut through it cleanly. Needless to say I had a few chips and left the rest. I don't recommend this place to anyone. will...

Here on Wednesday 24th June with my partner for breakfast. My first time in this establishment. Served by a young Asian lady who did her utmost and was most polite and apologetic over a misunderstanding on my order which was as much my own fault. Owner/Manager quickly had it sorted and corrected and therefore I have nothing negative at all to say about the service. Food was good and you got what you asked for. Marginally pricey but certainly not excessively so. We were more than happy to have come here and would be just as happy to return in the future. Outlay and look of the place was fresh with a slight industrial type look and was quite appealing. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to this café a couple of times with my partner, and the service has always been great. Even without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed. The waiter was kind enough to move us to a warmer, more comfortable spot when it became available (we were originally seated in front of the cashier). The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The view was just okay – but hey, it’s winter! Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for a nice brunch.

A relaxing dining experience for lunch. Very popular, yet not noisy. Staff attentive and very helpful but never intruding. A wide selection of cabinet food available as well as an extensive board menu. Portion control is observed and it's large no scrimping. Cakes and slices provides a novel choice to try the sweet tooth too. Fresh chilled water freely available while you wait. Coffee is smooth yet very strong.
