Well team, thank you very much for fitting us in last minute, the atmosphere was very nice. You girls really did try to offer one fantastic night to your guests.

Unfortunately the letdowns were the lack of cutlery, 3 times we had to chase some down, and the young man just walked away both times we asked him. Not sure what his role was.

The kids pasta was dropped, and he had to wait for something else, which puts pressure on us dealing with the downfall. The chicken main was not available ether. And our baby's meal came out hot dogs instead of chicken sticks, he refused to eat them, so it was a rather difficult night out with the kids.

Also the bill came to 319, which I think we were charged 2 extra meals.

We had only got 1 small kids specail (meal, dessert, drink) 2 kids specail (meal, dessert, drink) 4 fizzy 1 jack Daniel's

Soup of day Bread Bracetia

Blue cod Sizzler (extremely tough, wrong cut of meat) over well done) Lamb rack

But all is good, we appreciated...

Visiting Invercargill, my brother and his wife wanted to take myself and elderly mother out. The meal was pleasant. We had a trainee server which was fine. However the most disappointing part of the evening was when the trainee unfortunately lost a glass of beer off the serving tray onto our table. No one at the table was spared and I wore a large portion on my clothes and meal. We did not complain and quickly tried to assist the young staff member to tidy up. My brother paid for the meal and I must admit that I was very disappointed that no staff member, at any time apologised for the incident or even mentioned it! My brother would not have expected anything BUT an acknowledgment of the situation would have been appreciated. It is a shame that only those that complain and create a scene get an apology. As a regular to the hotel my brother was mortified and embarrassed and I felt for him. Poor form Saucy Chef...

Went out for a special celebration in the evening and was dissapointed by a lot of things. The music was distracting and conflicted with the relaxed atmosphere. The light above the table we were seated at was blindingly bright and flickering. We asked politely to be moved but were denied though there were plenty of spare tables that night. The food; entrees were very tiny for the price. The mains were not worth the high price, I feel like we were ripped off. The risotto was undercooked and very salty. The lamb was chewy and the cabbage parcel while it sounded good was not nice. The only thing we enjoyed was the drinks which were well priced and delicious. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and felt like a 130 dollar dinner should be something you enjoy every part of. It's meant to be an experience. It could have been...

OK this is our first time dinning there. But I can't work it out why they have 4 an half stars. 😕. To my all the food I order. Not even up to 3 stars. I will give them 2 an half stars. Because the squad ring was soft . The crispy chicken n salad . I would say from frozen food. They even say Korean style chicken. ??? I can't taste any Korean style. Also not crispy at all. Next dish is pork belly. Omg. The skin was so hard. The top of fat is OK nice soft but the bottom of the pork meat has been pan fry so dry. I hate to write a comment of the restaurant of the food . If so far so good I will just let it past. But not with 4 an half stars. The cook needs think of quality control. Use heart to cook all your dishes from menu. Yourself willing to play for the dishes before you serve to customers.

While I thought I was going out for dinner with one person, it became apparent when my food came out we had more company than we thought. At least 3 green bugs absolutely feasting on my cucumber, the waiter was really nice and replaced my food. You’d think I’d get this meal on the house, after literal bugs crawling around in my food when only my coke no sugar was taken off the bill. Soooo disappointed, absolutely loved eating here but “the supermarket pre washes for us” isn’t always enough to keep the creepy crawlies off fresh produce 🥴

A fairly large restaurant space and a good looking menu. The portions were very filling and rather large. We had the lamb rack and the goat rack (listed as shank but they didn’t have it) and both were so-so. Fairly limited selection of wines by the glass. Nice staff (as good as most places in NZ) and were quite thorough. Food takes a while to get to your table, and this was a Monday evening after 8.15 pm.
