Invercargill Pizzeria (pizza, pasta, salad) — Restaurant in Invercargill City

We arrived at 6:30pm and i could see there was some confusion as to our booking. We were then seated and it was 6:50 before a waitress took our order. 7:05 before our 3 drinks arrived. We were then served the side we ordered as an entree around 7:15.

7:45 and no pizza in sight ... 55 minutes to cook 3 pizzas.. meanwhile takeawy customers are consistantly moving through. I ended up having to go and speak to a staff member about the time it had taken for the pizza to arrive, suddenly it was there in 5 minutes.

The one saving grace for the evening was that the pizza was excellent, plenty of toppings and tasty sauces. Definitely some of the best pizza available in invercargill.

That being said not once asked if we were happy with the food or if we would like to order a second drink. I have to say the service was definitely not on point this particular night.

In all honesty i dont think this venue functions well as dine in and takeaway, thankfully we were seated down the back however i imagine it would be rather awkward to be seated where you have takeaway customers standing around beside your table waiting for their order.

I would suggest seperating the takeaway from the dine in restaurant would greatly improve the atmosphere for dine in customers and provide seating for those waiting for their order. Hopefully this would also allow the front of house staff to focus on the guests and...

Since posting the review below, the Invercargill pizzeria have really upped their game. We’ve gone again a couple times now and the pizzas here are amazing, probably best in Invercargill. Can’t speak to the other items on their menu. I would recommend going on a Tuesday for their $17 pizzas, and the butter chicken pizza.

I think they’ve bit off more than they can chew with their large menu, very little wait staff and also doing takeout. We left after waiting an hour and a half and getting no food. When we left one of the staff (maybe the manager) asked us to send people their way if anyone wanted to work there. So sounded like they knew they were understaffed but opened anyway, which is doesn’t bode well for them...

$18 Pizza night every Tuesday is a great marketing, it works well. Heaps of people dining in and takeaways as well. It's also a great way or chance to try out different varieties of Pizza that have. Plus when dining in, there's more food to order and share. My son loves the Mozarell bread and Americano pizza which is typically all time kids favorite Pepperoni 🍕.
