An amazing bakery 🤩
I have been meaning to go to Diehl's for a long time now, and they did not disappoint! When I got there at 8, they had a short line to get in (4-5 people). When I got to the front of the time, the man serving me at the counter was extremely nice and had a big smile. The food was also very good (More details below). I stopped by before heading into work so I got cabinet food only, but I saw that they had a plethora of different loaves as well. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back again!
Food I got: Pretzels- I had both the the normal and sweet one. The sweet one was made of a flakey dough and a sweet party dough intertwined together giving you a interesting texture. The normal pretzel was fluffy and was seasoned perfectly with a bit of salt. Apple Strudel - Very nice. The pastry was filled to the top with the apple filling. It was not super sweet and it was quite large. Sausage Roll - WOW. This is one of the best sausage rolls I have ever had. The sausage filling was nicely seasoned. It was balanced, juicy and had a very slight kick to it. The pastry was light and flakey and complimented the sausage filling...

I actually find it very difficult to go into the Bakery, as I normally plan on what to buy, but ending up with lots more treats than was planned for, all their bakings are extremely fresh and visually good.
I bought jam doughnuts (huge amounts of jam inside, yummy), plumb Danish, and Almond Croissants today, sooo good.
They have a very big selection of breads, pretzels, bread sticks, Danish slices, and such a great selection of different treats. The different selection of different loaves of bread is so good, I bought the Farmers Loaf, 70 % rye - so good and it stays fresh for a long time (keep it in a sealed container)
The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It's always good to go early on a Saturday as they run out of stock when it gets closer to closing time. Their is limited parking out front of the bakery, but parking out in the road.
Very highly recommend to all current and future customers, give them a visit, you definitely won't be dissipointed. See...
Read moreDefinitely one of North Shores' gems when it comes to freshly-made breads. I've been back to their bakery several times now (and yes, I am sorry it took me so long to write this here). I tell you, you gotta try their breads. For those always on-the-go, you will love their bretzels, almond croissants, cheesesticks... their cheesecakes are to die for! Not too sweet, not too rich. Just about right for my taste. They have so much more, actually, it just depends on which you are in the mood to eat/which do you prefer. Food is great, customer service is great. Just a heads up: do not go there Saturdays between 9am and 10am, as there's bound to be a long queue and they just have limited parking spaces. (You can try and park on the Hillside Rd though, and just walk to the shop.) Make sure you have a bag because, I tell you, you will be tempted to buy and taste few more of their products. Also, if you prefer gluten-free breads, this is not your...
