the foods nice, but i vote it a 2. why you may ask? i don't recommend eating out here, for any birthdays or celebrations you may or might have. i always come here with my family to celebrate something like a birthday or etc. i have been here a ton of times, and as a child growing up loving the food they made here, and the menu and the atmosphere around me growing up seems as if it is. but growing up seemingly coming here often but not to often, a few months later i realized, while eating the food a few months ago NO FLAVOUR. i notice that its bland, flavorless and not much effort and love goes into the food their making. I HATE THE DESERTS no offence. but the lasagna is okay, just abit on the bland side it taste like nothing. once you put it in your mouth, it looks good on the outside, and you think tho it looks on the outside it taste good on the inside but its actually not. it had to be said, i think growing up as a child my taste buds just loved the the lasagna tasted like back then when and while i was growing up as a child. but now growing up and distancing myself and separate myself from that while growing up as from a child now and to a young adult.
also, coming back a few times and abit more, their menu and theirs choices do not change over the years, its basically the same thing every year. in a short and brief summary. their food is not good.
Same room arrangement. SOOOO,, just so you know their room arrangement has stayed the same over the past few years nothing new or nothing special.its just the same old wooden tables, and there are a few scratches on the table and few marks, and they still have not noticed to order or request new tables for their room arrangement. the chairs, are the same just plain old wooden/metal chairs, last time i came here the cushion was really old and wasn't on the seat?. i mean it was removed and it wasn't even on the seat stable. so we could just easily left the cushion up.
also warning!!: my cousin had her hand and fingers cut from underneath the chair/seat bar, and her hand was bleeding uncontrollably. to put it short , we had to end our celebration short and leave/left early from the birthday or party etc celebration we had going around that or during that time so we and my family members left the premise early due to her injury. Now she can't go back to work till her hand is all healed and good to go. ,for her to do physical and mentally work so shes called off from her job till her injury is healed and good. she had to get her finger nail removed, and the cut was deep.

Read more30/12/14... I was asked to assist a Family Function for a Birthday, which was held @ Happy Days/ Manurewa. 2pm..Upon arrival, a very unknowledgable so called Reception whom was very RUDE, did not have a good sense of communication skills. She then remarked that she was unsure of the event that was taking place.
while waiting for the Manager to return, myself and my cousin watched in amazement how their on floor staff members conducted cleaning and preparation to the dinning area.
One guy with a afro hair style, sweeped up the floor with a dust pan. This dinning area, required a vacuum as wel as a carpet wash due from food spillage.
You then had two females setting the tables, by the looks of their facial expression they did not take pride in their task that they under took. As one female walked passed, she had no manners to excuse her self to wipe tables down. During this..I kept my calm as I continue to smile, as I was sure the staff maybe unstressed before my arrival.
I took on my role, in doing my set up for our event that was taking place. I finally meet the Manager.....
The Manager of the venue, also was Rude and his mannerism was not welcoming. His communication was short and did not care, as it seems he was more interested with $$$$$$ rolling.
The food was plentiful....presentation not gooooood...only food that looked good, was the Beef that was carved before you. Seafood..I passed...I did not want to spend New Years in Hospital...
Bar assistance, very poor...I had three females who could not serve, due to a very poorly unstocked fridge of wines.. I said..why is it recommend on wine list...no word was replied.
I advise all my families to refrain from this venue, it may be CHEAP....and this is want you are bound to receive in return.

Read moreWe’ve had 2 big birthdays in a row in the past couple of months with Happy Days manukau - both dinner time. First, Dads 65th - good food a lot of choices, now customer service by one of the team leading up to this night, she gave wrong information, charging us a new increased price when we had obviously booked before they had raised their prices, one of the Managers we dealt with leading up to this night, was very blunt and had a no “can do” attitude, everything we asked was given a 1-2 word answer, with no attempt to try and find a solution for our enquries or try to at least seem like she was helping. Our 2nd event was nephews 1st bday on 6th September 2022 - again on this night the same Manager who we dealt with leading up to Dads 65th was on this night for nephews. She was very rude, had a bad attitude when the prices they quoted were questioned which were actually wrong - no smiles, her and a couple of her team on this night were of the same demeanour.
Thankfully, our experience with 1 of the managers - Mars was amazing - she was very helpful, and quoted us prices correctly, and she was very courteous and friendly to deal with. Also on both these nights - the serving staff at our tables were very friendly, a tall island boy with long hair pulled back in a pony tail, always very nice to deal with, always asked what we preferred with our drinks and very respectful. There was also another Samoan girl (because she communicated fluently with me is how I knew 😊) with long black hair pulled back in a ponytail was also very friendly on both our nights, and very respectful.
So though the food we would say was awesome different meats with many choices, also thank you to a couple of the serving staff who were helpful and to Manager Mars, but some of the staff need customer service retraining or find a new job, or get a...
