Love Punjab (Indian Eatry) — Restaurant in Manurewa

Order placed on 29 April 2025 over the phone. Daal Makhani, Aloo Gobhi, 2 chicken dishes, garlic naan, butter naan, roti.

Have tried Love Punjab in the past many times never had any complaints but on this occasion i must say quality of food and taste has been compromised.

Daal makhani wasn’t fresh had to throw it away, on being sharing the feedback with the person who picked up the phone said no Daal is Fresh…no apology

Food at times i understand could taste different but serving daal or any dish which has not been prepared fresh is NOT ACCEPTABLE…

No offence - for all those who love the food and come home with empty stomach after working long hours without getting time to eat anything at work and expect yummy food to feed yourself and your friends NO TO LOVE PUNJAB - i have taken it off from my Favourite Checklist now…

Food should always be served Fresh and it is the responsibility of the Chef and Owner, under no circumstances i would expect Stale Food…

Customer service sucks! Called a few days earlier, enquired about their food etc then made a booking for 10. Got there Sunday night and were unwelcomed from the start walked in stood there like idiots and approached them as they would have just let us stand there. They had zero clue about my booking. We are there for mysons beat dinner so I bsrushed it off and paid we are then given plates.. again i approach them asking about seating the lady points and says yous sit there. Fine! We sit we eat we talk and try to enjoy ourselves all the while being eagerly watched the entire time (YES LADY WE NOTICED!) Theres no "desserts" like they advertise so we finish up stack our plates quietly talking laughing and relaxing like you do after eating. THIS TIME for the 1st time they approach us and ask us to LEAVE! The man tells us they have a group waiting (there are available seats around) and since we are done that we need to leave?! We paid $172 and aren't allowed to use up our hour?? SHOCKING!!!! Icing on the damn cake! Was happy to take our money but not our company. Never have I ever been asked to leave a restaurant. Had been to the specials they had over the weekend for $5.00 for UNLIMITED Chole /Batura, Tea, Buttermilk

I was very impressed with the owner Ravinder (hope I have spelt her name right). At first I called to ensure it wasn't a fake advertisement. My very first impression over the phone was great as she was very polite, patient and explained everything about the specials.

I then went with my family & OMG the food was great & so was she / her staff.

The food was fresh and was served in small quantities to ensure that people get the fresh food. The chola / batura were constantly brought out of the kitchen fresh (no compromise with the quality). The tea was great and could smell the cardamoms & once again was served fresh.

I also spoke to Ravinder and suggested that she starts her buffet again which had to stop due to Covid.

Once again thanks to Ravinder & her staff for making our experience so great. We really enjoyed the food, ambience & the beautiful smile on her and the staff.

Congratulations on your new sweet shop.
