A Hidden Gem in Masterton My wife and I ate here last Friday, a cute little corner Asian fusion bistro. A good range of starter, seven in total and nine mains to choose from. We usually prefer an entire meal of starters and skip the mains. The Korean fried cauliflower bites was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. It was a smokey dark sticky chocolate cauliflower (does that make sense!). Made with Gochujang, mayo finished with cashews and sesame. Vey impressive. There is a photo but it was so delicious I got distracted and only snapped what was left on the plate, but you get the idea. The tuna sashimi with wasabi creme fraiche, pickled ginger and lemon dressing was good but nothing out of the ordinary, but still good and refreshing. The crispy oraking salmon with asian potatoes and pickled red cabbage and shrimp sambal sauce and finished with coconut crumble was creative and very tasty. The venison short loin with date labneh, peanut crumble, blackberries and winter vegetables was rich and heartwarming. I would certainly return and try more starters although the sun-fed chicken with pumpkin ravioli with gorgonzola and walnut crumble looked delicious on the other table and desserts looked wonderfully satisfying for any sweet tooth. The interior lighting could do with toning down little to be more intimate and I did suggest to the owner to lower the blinds (no expense) to create a little more intimacy. Will be back soon :)

First time here. Booking a table online for our party of 6 was a breeze! Food is superb, good variety of tastes and textures in small and big plate selections. The meat in the dishes I ordered was tender and the portions were generous. Entree: SPICED LAMB CHOPS Mint and coconut puree with pickled daikon finished with pistachio crumble Main: BEEF SHORT RIBS ON PRAWN TOAST Seasoned grain fed beef short ribs with abc sauce, Japanese mayo and green onion crisps, finished with bonito flakes Both dishes were delicious, however for the main the abc sauce was a little heavy over the beef and prawn toast, toast was saturated with it and the sauce completely obliterated any prawn flavouring.. if I were to order it again, I might ask them to go a little easy on the sauce. Otherwise, meat perfectly done and the rest of the dish very tasty. Finally, paywave was not available at the time of my visit. Overall a highly recommended dining experience! Definitely returning.

We had a fantastic experience here. We were greeted immediately and found a table that could accomodate us all. We were promptly served and asked if we would like to start with a beverage. I got a lemon lime and bitters which was refreshing and tasty. The best combo. We then ordered our food. I got the Ramen and it was delightfully perfection. Everything included in the bowl just worked together in a harmonious symphony. I enjoyed every single bite and ate it with glee. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are wanting to try something that is surprisingly delicious and cooked with passion and love!

I was pleasantly surprised by the unusual flavors in this breakfast dish today. I never thought scrambled eggs, chilli oil and curried cauliflower would work! There was also two white sauces which I couldn't figure out the flavour- one was called z'tar. I'm not sure if I have spelled it correctly but I was amazing! There was another pale sauce and I thought it might have been yogurt mayo? The flavors were great! A pleasant twist on scrambled egg! Boyfriend had corgette patties and he said the flavors were unusual and very tasty also. My son had the breakfast sandwich and that was a hit. Another son had plain scrambled egg with a white sauce and it was a hit. I didn't think he would have gone for the white sauce but he really liked it. My daughter had a brownie and banana shake and gave it the thumbs up!

Lovely decor....food took a little longer than I would have liked, otherwise...
