This has now become my preferred Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the whole of Auckland!!. We ordered a Lamb Saag and Lamb Rogan Josh medium plus a side of Vegetarian samosas. Without a doubt, it is the best I have had in New Zealand, second to none. Having travelled extensively in India, I have found it challenging to replicate the authenticity of the delightful off-main street Indian food that I experienced and cherished there. Lumbini closely matches this authenticity in New Zealand. The quaint, cosy restaurant offers an ambiance where one could sit for hours, simply taking in the cooking aromas that overwhelm the senses. My five-star rating is genuine. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a four-star rating, is its situated in a strip shopping centre. They deserve to be located on the high street, as our experience with their food was exceptional. Highly recommend and will...

The food was DELICIOUS!! And the service was Amazing!!! The main server/manager was SUPERRR nice, kind and welcoming!! I will definitely be back!!! The portions were soo huge I took some to go!!! I got Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, and Garlic cheese Naan!! The waiter checked to make sure everything was good and that I was satisfied!! He also topped of my mango lassi complimentary!!! He always had a smile on his face and just made me feel like a happy customer!!! Favorite Indian spot in New Zealand!!! Took the bus and train here and was NOT disappointed!!! Thank you sooo...

We had a late dinner there. The owner and waitress were so friendly. They even made a special requested menu, "chicken garlic tikka."

The food was beautiful with a very good value. The garlic cheese naan was very delicious, also the butter chicken, and goat curry.

They are in the process to have alcohol license, so be patient and look forward to that. LOL..... I was happy just with Coca-Cola and water 😀

We got a surprise. After we paid, the owner said to wait, and they served a special nice and unique dessert. Thanks for the good...

Appreciate the waiter we had last night. He was patient with taking our orders and had great recommendations. The food was amazing and flavourful. All meals are portioned well and are all 10/10. Everyone should try this restaurant at least once this year. House keeping was great. Everything is clean. They have these cute lights above which make the restaurant homey also. My favourite restaurant in the area right now.
