I placed an easy online order for the Meal Box, on arrival Chef Ritvick was making my side order. He explained his use of spices and reasoning for not using sugar and colourants in his butter chicken. His passion for his work showed as he gave me taste tests on other Curries. Using biodegradable packaging he placed the freshly puffed up deep fried home made Indian whole wheat bread into a bag. All the time explaining his choices for the meal box, in the hope of expanding Kiwis Taste Buds. Unpacking it all at home you will need lots of space on the table and in your tummy! The Indian Cookhouse, brilliant service and delicious food. I bought the butter chicken meal box. Because I have always enjoyed butter chicken from other restaurants, I thought it would be a great way to compare. My mind was blown. It's a restaurant quality meal with multiple courses, and the taste is unlike any other Indian food that I've eaten. It's a very fair price for the quality and amount of food you get, very filling. We finally got to try Indian Cookhouse tonight and got the Paneer Masala and Lamb Masala. There was no disappointment in those bags that’s for sure! Lots of flavour, authentic spices and generous servings. The bahjis were DELICIOUS and I would be happy with just those as a meal! Lots of flavour in the breads and pappadoms.
