Recently opened café. I met a friend here for a catch up over coffee during the week. They have one table with 6 seats, a wee window bench with a couple of bar stools and another nartow bench against a wall with a couple of stools in a small clean well lit area. There's a small range of savoury snd sweet food to choose from that included one vegan option and a couple of gluten or dairy free options. I didn't take note of what the take home meal was at the bottom of the small food cabinet. There's a choice of three teas and the usual range of hot chocolate and of coffee. Lovely to see they use take away containers that go into the compost when they are done with. Lovely service and lots of genuine smiles from the staff. I wish them well in their venture. On the brighter side, my partner raved about the granola, and the avocado miso bagel they kindly offered as a replacement was delicious. The coffee was spot-on and we really liked the place’s vibe.
A little heads-up: there’s a surcharge for public holidays. It wasn’t clearly noted, so our bill for a coffee, the salad, and granola came as a surprise at $35.32.
Just wanted to share my experience. While there were hiccups, there were definitely some positives too. Hoping for a smoother...
Read moreGorgeous service, EXCELLENT Coffee (People’s), medium sized selection of food, BUT the quality and price is perfectly pitched; it looks great and from the Christmas Slice I had, the other food is gonna be top notch. Note, they do pre-prepped meals at the bottom of the fridge - nice, highish-end stuff. Also sell artisan bread on Saturdays...locally made. Scorching Bay?, I think?
Closed Sunday/Monday at this stage.
Wellington has NOT been wow-ing me coffee/food combos, since I’ve been back - (needs to match the looks with the taste more) so I’m glad to say this place has done so. Give it a...
