Terrible! Waited about 10-15 minutes after being told my order was 'just being packaged' (I had allowed about 45 mins for them to cook and prepare takeaways) and had received email that it was ready, so waiting any longer on a not so busy night is ridiculous. Another customer who ordered after me got there food before me?When opened order food missing and the food we did get was pathetic. Curry mostly sauce / no meat / few mouthfuls. Rice servings are ridiculous almost like your just paying for the rice. Feeling very ripped off. Used to really like this place gone down hill big time. Have had this happen way too many times to even consider going back, beyond a joke. Service is s**t, never smiling or welcoming at all and they constantly look stressed for some reason. Offered everyone else that came in free cake with there mains except for me as well, why do deals if you don't follow through with them 100%? Sad looks like you've lost a lot of customers today. Would maybe take a good look at your business as you've now gotten seven 1 star reviews in 8...
Read moreI personally would rate 4.5star on food quality at Flame as I am their regular customer and offer 3-5 times every week since 2024. But I customer service is absolutely bizarre in this store 0/5, One lady at checkout aged around 35-40 is always rude, there's no smile, greeting or interaction. I do understand jobs can be busy but if you are at checkouts it's very important for you to smile and make customer feel valued. The new team a young 20+ male and female works hard but again customer service could be so much better, that yong girl still greets and try to engage and greet even though they both have opportunity in communication skills but effort means alot. As I mentioned in start, your chefs are absolutely amazing, Loved flame food.

Read moreWe went for a dinner. Ordered a light meal. Samosa for starters , some mocktails , followed up with paneer kulcha and some prawns & ended with masala-chai.
Now, iam from India, here for just 2 days , so the critique will be but tough. Samosa - great texture and built. Inside masala nice , but didn’t pack a punch. Low on salt. Paneer kulcha- actually turned out to be more like soft paneer parantha. Bread was soft and not tandoori like out of a Bhatti/tandoor.
Chai was the best , perfect milk and tea-leaves combination and the masala.
However , it’s also known that Indian restaurants, in foreign countries , tone down a bit in the flavour to adjust to the local palate, so it’s still a good place to go if you are a localite in NZ.
Service was good. Ambience was soft and cozy, Open and...
