Forces Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

We were looking for a nice place for lunch in a crazy busy Gisborne over New Years weekend. What a hidden gem we found at The Forces Cafe! The setting is perfect, plenty of parking and lovely settings of tables under umbrellas, plus… air conditioned settings inside if the Gizzie heat is getting to you! The serving staff were delightful and the food was delicious. The only thing I would suggest trying is to remove the fence and I think the scene would be more welcoming.
