My personal service was shocking and il never return. Accidentally dropped my container of Chinese as i was filling up, slid my container across the bench and it fell off. They tried to make me keep the container of food that fell on the floor as they were shocked when I asked for a replacement. I do however understand they didnt have to replace. They offered me a smaller container for half price, I declined as I had just paid full price for a large and didn't want to pay again. The wife and husband were both telling me it's my fault it's my mistake why should they pay for it. Which, yes in some what way i understand . They ended up ringing the cops. I sat down and proceeded to listen to the wife exaggerate about the situation. Claiming to have cameras and to come check them cos yes I did accidentally drop my container of food which I never once said I didn't. I was hoping they would come down and check. She was explaining to them she offered half price for a refill and I wouldn't take it. I'm unsure why she rung them as I wasn't aggressive at all. When I spoke to cops on phone they were basically confused as to why they were called cos I said I don't mind leaving if I don't get a replacement as they are entitled to not replace. They didnt give me the chance to even leave before they decided to call the cops on me. I was of no threat and never was I was hoping cops would come check the cameras. I ended up leaving and going to KIPPERS WEST where they offered me the rest of the smorgasbord for $25. I told them of my experience and they were shocked saying they would have replaced the container. I ended up back there as I thought I had left my phone behind when I went back the wife had a change of tune trying to give me a container for replacement free of charge. I didn't accept it. I guess maybe she felt guilty for the unnecessary drama. The husband was still saying why should they pay for my mistake. I will never be returning and will continue to spread my experience as the service thru it all was REALLY BAD

In reply to your response I apologized first and tried to help clean my mess like you said there are cameras there and cameras don't lie and yes other customers seen your lack of customer service as i wasnt showing any signs of aggression u called the cops bcos i wouldnt buy another container to replace the one that had slipped off. And large/not large i still paid $17 for something i never got. U wasted the cops time that's why they never showed up aye lol. And I didn't overfill as the lid clicked on quite perfectly after you tried to give me the food that fell on the ground. Check your cameras, remember that? Poor, poor service. Most of your reviews are poor it's not just me. Will still be telling everyone about...

Golden Spring is lacking in service, we paid for 11 dinners and the restaurant was ill-prepared, had to wait for food - they never supplied dessert and stood around counting us as if we had more people than what we paid for. The guy kept saying we had 12 people but I said no only 11. He said no, one is in the toilet when there wasn't. Had to ask for milk for the tea and it was hard to find forks and knives. When we asked where the dessert was he simply smiled and said no - so we paid the full price but got no dessert. I know times are tough but if you treat your customers well they will come back, but the experience there was shocking, we won't be dining there again.

I have read a lot of the comments below and it seems the restaurant would rather defend their bad business behavior instead of working to great professional standards of practice and improve their practices - cook wholesome Asian-styled dishes and give patrons an experience they'll remember fondly instead for all the...

Wow, stunning, such a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The mapu tofu is delicious, the perfect blend of spice, salty and sweet thanks to the fermented chilli and soybeans. The tofu semi soft held together perfectly against the rest of this flavour packed dish, honestly, one of the best I've had🤩😋😜. Based on that experience alone and kōrero with the manager (she was so lovely and had time to explain that all the chefs come from the South) the food here is authentic, and lots of options to choose from. (You can choose your spice level too) I highly recommend, I'll be back for sure!

I also had the bok choy 🤤 loaded too, plentiful and delicious 😋.

My only criticism is that the mapo tofu does not come with rice, but, I see it as an investment hehe.

I originally ordered take-out but decided to eat in after I walked in purely because of the look, its a beautiful decor, very clean...

Food was pretty much cold, bain-Marie's weren't really even hot. Fried Rice seemed like it was reheated And not fresh. Sweet & sour pork is chewy & awful. Decor could do with updating not to mention there is a severe need for maintenance. Chairs completely blocking the exit. And the dessert bar - the entire gaps in the cooler unit are filled with dropped dessert items. The lunch dishes were still just sitting in the bucket behind the screen by the tea & coffee station - all covered with food!!! All in all it was not a pleasant experience and we definitely won't be back! Far better tasting options for a much better price... $86 wasted tonight

Nasi goereng. Translates to "fried rice" . Nothing about this "Nasi goereng" resembles fried rice, or the turmeric fried rice I was expecting. They should call it something else cos that's just a way to disappoint people. It kinda tastes good. but I wanted turmeric fried rice Indonesian style. Even Malaysian soy sauce style. This is not Nasi goereng or even close😭 The combination fried rice is good though ,so 2 stars.
