Incredible India Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in North Island

We couldn’t have ever imagined that the best Indian food we would experience would be during our travels around Taupo, coming all the way from Singapore! We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Incredible India restaurant, and it was so good we ate their food 2 nights in a row! The warm hospitality, attentive service, and outstanding food made this one of the best Indian dining experiences we've had in a while.

From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel completely welcome. The servers were incredibly perceptive and offered thoughtful, helpful advice that ensured we ordered just the right amount for our appetite. What we especially loved is their customisation on the spice level - most Indian restaurants don’t even ask. And Incredible India is none of that rich, heavy, greasy food… the spices and flavour are the perfect balance. Their knowledge of the menu and genuine care elevated the entire experience.

We had the mango chicken, yellow dal - and found them bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. You could taste the passion and attention to detail in every bite. It’s rare to find Indian cuisine that feels both - balanced and delicious. And did we say the service was top notch too to match the good food.

We can honestly say it was worth crossing countries to find Indian food this good. If you're in Lake Taupo — or anywhere nearby — make this restaurant a priority. You...

We are two families who, after a short vacation, decided to have dinner at the Incredible India restaurant in Taupo. We loved the interiors. Our orders were as follows:

1. Goat Biryani: We absolutely loved it. It was mild but bursting with flavors. Definitely recommended for goat lovers.
2. Veg Biryani: Same rice, but it tasted really good 😊.
3. Chicken 65: It's not quite like the Indian 65, more like a Chinese style, but it tasted fantastic. The only downside was the minimal coloring added to the food; otherwise, it was superb.
4. Naan: Wow, I must say, we haven't had such thin ,soft and tasty naan in New Zealand yet. We fell in love with the naan ❤️.
5. Chicken Madras: A decent chicken curry with a semi-gravy and coconut paste. The taste was good.
6. Chilly Paneer Gravy: Another Chinese style dish, but the taste was outstanding. We loved the paneer and the texture.

They provided a complimentary Jeera drink, and the taste was awesome 😎. In total, we paid more than $200, but the food is definitely worth the money. This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. I was in town for 3 days with my family and friends. This was the first restaurant I went to and I want it to be my last because there is nothing that can top this. My order was a basic Butter naan, Paneer tikka masala, Dal Makhni and a side of rice. This had to be the most unique naan I've ever had. Never in my life had I seen a naan glistening with butter on each of its many layers, but now I have. You may think that the chefs are stingy looking at the prices and the serving size but you are wrong. Though the serving sizes may have been a bit smaller compared to other restaurants I have been to, the flavors I felt were a roller coaster. The Dal was creamy, extremely. The Makhni in the Dal was more than present. The paneer was soft, capsicums and onions cut perfectly to be eaten with the provided rice and optional naan. The service was quick. 20-25 minutes after entering the restaurant, we were served. This is mighty quick considering how good the food was. The restaurant in itself was beautiful and there is no way I can describe it, all I can say is, go to Incredible India. (I downed my food in exactly 3 minutes...
