Me and my girlfriend are traveling New Zealand now for 5 weeks and use Mc Donald’s Branches pretty often to have a nice meal and charge our MacBooks and camera. It was never a problem but today the manager (Kush Singh) of this branch really made things special. The sockets were locked and had a keyhole. It seemed like they had made bad experiences with customers loading their gear. So I went to the lady at the McCafe Counter and kindly asked if she could open up the socket for us. She denied and told me people had been in the branch to often and to long to charge their stuff. So I went to the manager named Kush and asked him what this was all about and if he could make an exception. At first he told me that it’s forbidden to use the socket because of customer safety issues. So I asked which customer would be unsafe because I would charge a MacBook?! He had no answer. Then he told me the McDonald’s policy wouldn’t allow customers to load electronic devices. That would mean every McDonalds branch I’ve ever been to wouldn’t follow the rules of their own policy. Then he told me his boss told him it’s not allowed. I asked who his boss is but he didn’t answer. I packed my stuff then and wanted to leave because Kush was obviously playing around with me and having fun to use his authority. What a nice manager. I was about to leave the branch then he came up to me again and tried to provoke me by calling me his “buddy” and laughing in my face again because I couldn’t do anything but leaving. Then all of a sudden he told me he would call the cops if I wouldn’t leave. To get this clear. I was about to leave and he stopped me from leaving by talking to me again. This “man” wanted to call the cops because I wanted to use a damn socket to charge a MacBook. How embarrassing for the company, how embarrassing for himself and his family. Probably he has no opportunity in his life to feel like a man except when he can tell travelers they could not load their gear in his branch. Poor boy. After that me and my girl went to Wendy’s, had really nice burgers, nice staff, good wifi... AND a socket we were allowed to use. THANKS WENDYS! Kush.. I know you will read this :) get a new job. Honestly... I would definitely not recommend to go to...
Read moreIt's a McDonald's so what do you want. Like most it's a little guy and miss. Cold dries one visit, but nice hot hash browns the next. I will ask a question, as this location is particularly bad at this. Why can no McDonald's worker centre the Mac sauce in a Big Mac? You're usually making one or two burgers at a time and it's not that hard. Back in the day they used to be almost perfect at it, and that was while making at least 6, likely with some other burgers, and timing it to the grill as there were no clam grills, but I digress. You're going to toss a coin and either have an adequate experience or a horrible experience. I will bite that there was one young woman (I think her name was Danielle; sorry if I misspelled that) who seemed newer but was still busting her hump running orders that were often messed up and or missing something, but still kept a smile and rectified the problem for customers quickly and efficiently. She's the main reason the service review wasn't lower. She was working Sunday 15 Sept if that helps managers identify and show her a little...
Read moreAbsolutely disgraceful service. Not only did I have to sit at the drive in ordering bay and wait 5 mins and watch several cars that were waiting behind me swiftly order their meals at the adjacent ordering bay and quickly drive through to pay, but when I finally was asked to place the order I had to repeat some of it twice. Taking my money was the easiest part of the transaction (of course it was!). However upon receiving my meals, I found the order was completely mucked up. I ordered two combos, I received one, I ordered to cappuccinos I received one. But apparently this is “my fault as I didn’t check the order of the screen”. Foolishly I thought the staff may know what they were doing. Perhaps if the staff listened the first time then errors like these Could be avoided! I called into Burger King to order similar food that had not been filled in the McDonalds order. I must say I can thoroughly the BK “Breakfast Of Champions” and their “Eggs Bene Delux” was fresh and tasty. Will never go back to Maccas Cameron Road, why would I when Burger King did...
