Miss Fortune’s — Restaurant in North Island

Miss Fortune was an unfortunate experience. After we ordered burgers of the week, they brought them to the table but none of them had the crisps as per the signboard. We asked the staff but she said they had run out and didn't try to follow through with any alternative options, very disappointing. The most unexceptionable part was that they never told us this when we ordered, and didn't say anything when delivering the food until we asked. We should have gotten charged less or given something else instead of the crisps. It's so shocking that the staff didn't try to find a solution to this and just expected us to be fine with everything? 🍔

Plus, about half of the cups there were dirty and had food particles floating in the water glasses... 🤢

The space is much improved over previous businesses. There is a covered courtyard area that expands seating and provides a lot of light into the whole space. I've been coming here from time to time over a year now for coffees and lunches, sometimes on my own, often with coworkers. The menu is constantly shifting and always interesting, although there are only a few options at a given time. We've also made trips down just for milkshakes, which are simply amazing. And I just realised today that some of the coffees can be served over ice, for a lighter summer treat. It would be a shame to not mention the service. Solid 5 stars, a hidden gem. This crew are so friendly, the food is amazing and the place overall is a whole vibe. I often pop in on my way to work but have been with family, had meetings with people and have gone in with my laptop to work and take casual meetings. Love the coffee, there are always vegan/gf/vege options and the food is fresh.

Can vouch for the Sandwiches (Halloumi Mushroom is my fav) scones, fruit muffins, wellness bowls, slices, pies, sausage rolls and vege stacks (yuuum) and so many other items. I hear their shakes are amazing too. Thanks team, you're so amazing - don't...
