Cyberpunk Ninja — Attraction in North Island

This is a hard one. This was our first time here for my sons 10th birthday. 8 kids they all loved it and found the area awesome! The kids had a blast but needed more than 1hr play, and got quite restless luckily we had a soccer ball in the car and made the most of the field next door. As a parent I found it a let down and stressful. I'd message prior as the birthday boy can not have dairy. The staff members confirmed on one platter what was safe and advise they would get back to me on the second platter and never did 😢 We turned up and didn't know where to go. It's busy, cramped and full on. One staff had a go at my 15yr old for waking towards cyberpunk with the cake and that it "must" be in their cake fridge. She was quite rattled by the interaction. I asked at jumperama where to go etc was given blunt "go over their" instructions. The staff seemed unsure. The party plan said the bday kid got a "free" air coster ride - this did not happen. It also states a party space but there is not. While playing at cyberpunk there is NO designated space. This was a let down with 8 kids shoes, presents etc.. After the 1hr we had NO idea what next. I had to find a staff member and ask, they were confused and told me to get the kids to go and wait instructions. I explained they had played and what happens with food etc. I was told to walk to the Cafe and they would figure it out! Honestly the kids had fun, the play area is pretty awesome. OMG amazing. We gave the climbing 5/5 but in comparison to this wow. This is like next level amazing! Adults, kids and spectators. So much fun. Just not quite long enough so buy two hours.

4 out of 5 is simply to get the staff thinking about consistency of experience. Updated ten months later. Huge improvement in safety briefings and supervision. Supervisor on today was more mature and this made a significant difference. We have been a number of times and this time was by far the best management of staff. Middle aged lady, Maori or Pacifica. Fabulous! Give her a pay rise.

Don’t let some parents in to support scared kids and not others. Dont let some parents take photos and not others. Make sure all kids get a turn up the top for at least half the session (and state that this is the case) and don’t let some kids...

I really enjoyed the place and had a great time overall, except for the customer service experience. There was a teenager working at the ticket counter section who was extremely rude and behaved in a very unprofessional manner. I’ve visited the venue three times, but on my last visit, I did not expect this kind of treatment.

Unfortunately, I do not know his name to report this directly to the manager. However, I hope the team reading this review takes the time to monitor staff attitude, especially among younger employees, who appeared to be around 16 to 18 years old. Please remind them to treat customers with basic respect and professionalism.
