Chapmans Buffet & Bar — Restaurant in North Island

Arrived at the restaurant was setted an then went an grabbed what i wanted to eat even just looking at some of the food it didnt look right at all.

Anyway i had eaten a few bites of my food an not even 5 minutes later i start getting pains in my stomach an felt the urge to spew i tried to hold it down but couldnt i ended up running to the bathroom an spewing up what food i had eaten. We had asked for the supervisor who “no one” could get a hold of. Even after i had spent the last 10 minutes spewing he still wasnt around. After waiting around my mum had explained to him what had happend an how she felt the supervisor/manager then proceeded to justify “why” i might of spewed saying mabey i had an allergic reactions to something because he quotes “ i done a course in food poisoning an it takes up to 4 hours to get that so it cant be the food because before us he fed 50 other people an was quite firm when saying that everything was freshly cooked an prepared properly” I’m telling you now none of what was on display was fresh.

Keep in mind that im am a lover of all foods an have never experienced such events before while eating at any other buffet before.

Went here lastnight for dinner with my little family. Nice selection of food! and everything was cooked to perfection😍 We dine at alot of buffets, one our fave is Auckland Cordis Hotel. But this one is by far one of our faves, lovelovelove 👏👏👏

My fave was the Delish Pesto Pasta😜 (My 10yr Old son has never had pesto before and he enjoyed a whole plate of it)

Fresh Fat and Creamy Oysters👌 Quality Rawfish👌 King sized prawns👌 Well cooled mussels👌 Spiced Butter chicken👌

(My 9yr old daughter would not eat octopus but when she ate the creamy seafood chowder I was suprized she ate a whole bowl)

We cleaned out the oysters👀 and when I requested for more the guy served it to us😂👌 Beautiful presentation with the desserts, loved the selection of Ice cream or sorbe👌 I never made it to the desserts cause the food was just awesome! And thats a first tbh😂

Enviroment was clean, quiet and the service was great! When my kids compliment the food, on every plate they dished, its a 5 STAR for dining for sure‼️💯🔥

We arrived seated at our table, went up to eat to find they no longer serve oysters, found a hair in the sea food chowder, let them know, but nothing was said, moved on to dessert no brandy snaps, mouse containers were empty, so when asked one of the staff was told kitchen is short staffed so no brandy snaps? Went to pay they ask how was our meal said we have come here for many year but don't think we will be back. Staff member went on to say we'll that's your choice but due to inflation cuts had to be made to the buffet. ? I think if oysters are now extra and not on the buffet should have been told before seating us of the changes. No salmon No oysters No shrimp No brandy snaps No creme brulee And salads no tomatoes And no pavloa
