Pronto Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in North Island

We are a gluten-free house, which can be a problem for Italian food. Pronto does a gluten-free pizza base that is really good and the pizzas are consistently cooked well. Sadly they don't do gluten-free pasta, but the range of normal stuff is great and delicious.

They do online ordering and they also deliver most of the time. Like any small business they sometimes run out of some items, which can be disappointing, and on occasion they can't deliver so you may have to go down and pick up. But, they have become our regular pizza, pasta and dessert place....

We have been regular customers of prontos an feel that the standard of food has reduced considerably since it was sold approx 2yrs ago. We order pizza macaroni and canaloni this evening. The Pizza was dry and packed ingredients. As for the Macaroni, I truly think the forgot the sauce. The canaloni was great and desert great as well. Unfortunately we wont go back. We have given plenty of opportunity for them to get back up to the original...

It's been 6 months and I'm still dreaming of this place. A bit far to go regularly from the Hutt, but by far the best Pizza I've had, and does not leave you gluggy and stodgy. I would even say beats my own. Open a shop in Petone please, lots of competitors would close if we had this option next door. Did not try pasta, and the dessert looked a bit supermarket, but Pizza...
