Rosie O'Grady's Hastings — Restaurant in North Island

On arrival with my 13 month old baby and sister we approached the bar and received a friendly welcome. The establishment was not busy at all; we were given two tatty menus and instructed to return to the bar to order? I was asked if I required a high chair? I politely responded "yes please" and was told "oh there's one at the far end" of the restaurant.The high chair was absolutely filthy. So baby remained in his stroller until I cleaned the high hair.

The food I ordered was mediocre and the fries were overcooked and dry. The pattie in the burger was dry and overpriced.

I visited this establishment prior to the Taradale store being opened and the service then compared to now was absolutely amazing I even tipped the waitress. We were seated and received water/table service and treated like guests?

I will not return to the Hastings restaurant again to dine.

I was soo hungry I ate the meal- if your a mama you will understand

I gave this place 5stars because it was awesome we walked in we were given the biggest table out the menus we ordered were the bomb the children were fed first then the adults i had fish and chips the fish was beautifully under done the rest of my family ordered different dishes that looked very yum one of my daughters ordered lamb shank she said it was yum unfortunately i don't have photos but i would go back there if I'm back in the bay again i live in Wellington our trip to the bay was a family meeting people from out of the its a lovely friend homely place kid...

Very Irish. Loved the Music, Decor, Furniture etc. Staff were informative and smiley x

However, went in and literally zero customer service, despite it was quiet. You do have to order up at the bar, which is totally cool 😎 There just were no check ins to see how we were, or anything. Would have been a PERFECT opportunity to upsell, but oh well.

Got the Rosies Mor Burger. Wasn’t anything special, so wouldn’t recommend. And the bathrooms… gonna need that Irish Luck if you’re too tall or fluffy ❤️ cause it would be a tight squeeze xx (said...
