The Cabbage Tree Cafe — Restaurant in North Island

Had a lovely brunch with the husband and ladies from work today. Was rather loud and busy when we arrived. Food was excellent but with it been busy it took a while to come out. The portions was big as well! As the menu did not state gluten free had to ask, with it been busy and loud was a bit hard to check everything. I had got the omelette with smoke chicken, bacon and cheese. And gluten free corn fritter. With an ice mocha - which they use ice cream instead of milk. My husband got the waffles and corn fritter as well.had to get a take away...

I popped into this cafe on a miserable cold day, and it was lovely and warm and welcoming. The cakes looked so good I had two!! and both were absolutely delicious. The almond croissant was home made and was amazing. The strawberry and custard muffin was probably one of the nicest muffins I have eaten. Both were served warm and I had yogurt on the side. My coffee was great too. I will come back here again....

Food was as expected and reflected the menu pricing, dry toast was a bit of a let down and had to go ask for butter. Wait staff brought our hot drinks out and headed for the wrong table to start with despite being given a service number. Same mistake was repeated with our order, and it sat on the wrong table for five minutes until they realised the mistake. The addition of crispy fried parsnip chips was...
