Maunu Roast Shop — Restaurant in North Island

Maunu Roast Shop is most definitely a 5 * hot roast outfit and I know for a fact that they do the BEST Roast Pork in Whangarei. Imagine they would also take out the BEST nationwide award if there was one.

Such a lovely team that operate this food service. I don't buy my Ready Roasts from anywhere else and travel out of my way to get my roasts from them.

Today I was completely overwhelmed when stopping in to pick up my usual Roast Pork Meal to be presented with a xmas card and sweet flower gift from the lovely young man in there - I mean what business celebrates their clientele with that kind of appreciative gesture in todays' society??? Very few I would imagine. So well done to you guys. That was totally awesome and made my day.

So back at ya and Merry Xmas to all the staff at Maunu Roast Shop, thank you for all the lovely meals which have sustained me throughout the years and.......

I really wanted to give this roast shop another opportunity, as I haven't been for a year or two since last disappointed. I drive past regularly & it would be good to grab a takeaway often, if it lived up to my expectations. I ordered small meals and the meat portion was definitely small. Pork crackling pieces very tiny. I object to being charged $1 for gravy on the side. I don't want my roast spud soggy when I get it home. The little container on the side doesn't cost anywhere near that to provide it separately.

No bag to put my order in. Good job I had something in my car or it'd be difficult to transport without potential spillage.

The "how has your day been" sounded very forced & not genuine. Just don't bother asking.

I will drive out of my way to go to another roast shop. It's not that that food tasted bad, it's just what your getting for your money, including...

We have been going to Maunu Roast Shop now for the past three years. Why do we keep going back....they have the best food and best customer service....we base this on other such shops we have been at, both in Whangarei and else where including Auckland.
