Culinary Delight at Flame Bar Grill - A Queenstown Gem! Flame Bar Grill in Queenstown is a culinary haven! The menu boasts an incredible variety of mouthwatering grill options, and our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for a feast, indulging in the Pork Ribs full rack, fragrant Lamb Skewers, Mozambique Prawns, and the refreshing Crunchy Apple Slaw Salad. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, a testament to the chef's skill in balancing tastes and textures. The Pork Ribs were succulent, falling off the bone with each bite. The fragrant Lamb Skewers were a delight, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Mozambique Prawns were a seafood lover's dream, and the Crunchy Apple Slaw Salad provided a refreshing contrast. What stood out the most was the richness of taste in every dish. Each element was meticulously prepared, creating an absolute flavor explosion. The culinary journey at Flame Bar Grill was an adventure of the senses, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. The ambiance added to the overall experience, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff was attentive, enhancing the overall positive dining ambiance. Flame Bar Grill is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination for culinary excellence in Queenstown. For those seeking a delightful and flavorful experience, this establishment is a must-visit. Our absolute recommendation!

100% MUST VISIT FLAME! I cannot put into words how highly I recommend this restaurant! My partner and I visited on the 2nd of August for lunch and we loved the food so much we came back for dinner. We have never visited a restaurant twice in one day but the service and food were incredible! Marnie was a beautiful hostess, she was bubbly, friendly and lead us to the table where Carys took over and continued the incredible atmosphere and service. We got the share platter between us and it was the best decision! $65 NZD for a platter that had variety to die for! Best calamari I ever had that just melts in your mouth! I'm not a fan of pork but the pork ribs were incredible! Cooked to perfection! The peri peri wings were amazing the mash potato and chips, just a perfect filling platter beautiful 2 people who can eat and we were both full and satisfied. So much so we booked a table to return for dinner and try the steak! At dinner, Marnie greated us again and our next server, Edwards, just kept the consistency of the wonderful service! At dinner we ordered the steak (and more calamari haha) and the chefs did just as amazing! Lunch was definitely more quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains! At night was full and yet their service and food was just as amazing! Highly recommend to go to Flame if you are visiting Queenstown.

This is the first time I traveled in Queenstown. I had dinner at this restaurant for two consecutive nights for a few days. The first night was June 11. The foreman or manager of the store was very nice. He could remember the names of the guests, so I decided to come again on the 12th. dinner. Unfortunately, on the second date, some strange things happened. The manager on the evening of the 12th wanted to take my plate away before I finished my meal. I said I was still eating. After I finished eating, I told the waitress to check out and put the bill on on the table,I would go to bathroom first. I went to the bathroom, and my clothes were still on the chair. After I came back and sat down for a while, it seemed that the manager asked another person to come over and ask me to pay. I asked didn’t I always check out at the front desk? I didn't say anything further, and left after paying the bill. The second night experience was really terrible. It feels like the manager seems to be worried about me escaping orders? Another point, I noticed that all the waitress are very enthusiastic when they serve white people, asking where did they come from etc.? It's a pity that when dealing with Asians, no smile and just hurriedly ordered and left. I see the waitress chat with white people for more than 5 minutes at a table next to my table. It makes people feel a bit indirectly racist. The food is generally okay, but the French fries are too salty, the mash potato tastes weird, the lamb chops are a bit greasy, and others are okay. U can definitely find better food with much cheaper price in Queenstown. In general, it really varies from person to person. I won’t say they are all racist, but some definitely unconscious yes. Won’t recommend to go this place to damage your holiday mood.

We had made reservations for the family hoping for a nice and tasty evening dinner. We were pleasantly surprised initially, by how attentive our server was; but that was the only high point of the meal, and it didn't last long. We ordered drinks (a beer and a glass of wine), which took quite a long time to arrive. Sure, it was busy, but not a half hour for a beer busy. That's when things started going downhill. Food had been ordered withing about five minutes of ordering drinks. The little one's food arrived, but with an extra order of ribs that we didn't ask for or want. We had also requested a salad as a side and received chips. The appetizers came out, and were very good (cheese balls and calamari). Our beverages had been consumed by this time, as we had been there nearly an hour and a half, and we requested another beer and a martini. The beer took 25 minutes to be delivered, and the martini took almost 40 minutes as they had a very hard time understanding that a dry martini is just vodka and a touch of dry vermouth. By this time it was becoming comical how long the food and drinks were taking. Finally the food came and the order was wrong again. The eye filled came with chips when it should have been oven baked potatoes, and the lamb skewer had chips and no salad. The lamb was also blatantly raw through much of the skewer. Not rare, raw. It was difficult to get our servers attention for water refills, or to follow up on where our food and drinks were. A thoroughly unenjoyable experience which saw us arriving at 8 and leaving at nearly 11:00.

Flame is out The Flame restaurant in Queenstown, which is supposed to be famous, turned out to be a colossal letdown. I called to make a booking for 14 people because it wasn't possible to make such a large booking online. I made the booking over a week ago to ensure we would have a place for a memorable dinner. Regrettably, our anticipation of a delightful evening at Queenstown Flame restaurant on the waterfront of the lake was shattered. The young floor manager and the highly unprofessional evening manager displayed an outrageous level of rudeness, deliberately shunning our group of 14 by claiming they couldn't locate the booking. The door manager verified our name in the system but was unable to assist us due to the absence of a recorded phone booking. They were so appallingly unprofessional that they even had the audacity to declare that they didn't require our patronage and adamantly refused to make any accommodations for visitors to their town. It was an utterly disheartening experience for all 14 of us, who were left to scramble for an alternative dinner plan despite making a reservation. I sincerely hope that future visitors steer clear of the Flame restaurant. They are unprofessional, utterly useless, and insufferably arrogant. May their business suffer the consequences of such an abhorrent attitude. Dont go to Flame Queenstown!

Went here for my 6th time over the past 3 years, last week for dinner. On my first visit years ago I got a mixed meat platter & by far enjoyed their famous ribs the most. They are delicious. So from then on, I got only the ribs (plus chips). However, Last week I couldn't resist trying a steak. I was craving steak, and their menu description sounded Awesome. So, I got the steak fillet- plus half-rack-of-ribs combo, with the side of flame mash, plus a side of cheese balls. The steak was one of the nicest steaks I've ever tried !! Seriously good 🙂 The flame mash was beautifully buttery & had nice gravy with it, It was delicious to dip my partner's chips in too. The cheese balls were also really nice. I really enjoyed my entire meal here 100%, Though I must highlight the steak, as I couldn't rate this any higher ! Also, they sell Tuatara Hazy Pale Ale on tap, so maximum rating points from me, Highly recommended dinner (or lunch) here. I ought to add that I completely over-ate, as I also finished what my partner couldn't finish from her own meal. I didn't walk out afterwards, I waddled out 😂 Flame is famous within Queenstown, for very good reason. I absolutely highly recommend trying a great feed from here.
