My partner, our two children and I were first timers and decided to have dinner there tonight around 7pm as we had heard many a great thing about the food court. We ordered our food both at the counter and later on using the QR code which we found fantastic. After wandering around & checking the place out, we made our way outside to the courtyard where we approached a staff member (who we assume was a cleaner as he had a spray and cloths in hand) to ask if we could sit outside. He gestures toward the table closest to the rubbish bins despite there being other free tables (we gather he is yet to clean the free tables so we move to the table hes pointed to, but in hindsight, that was a major red flag).
The atmosphere and ambience outside seems nice and my little one is eager to start eating, so, we all take our seats. About 35minutes in, my family and I are enjoying our food when a different cleaner (gentleman, glasses, slim build, possible Indian or south east asian) suddenly and without any verbal communication, interrupts me mid-eating tp clear the bins immediately behind my seat. This forces me to squeeze up to my partner's seat next to me while the cleaner starts cleaning the bins withoit msrely saying a word. We are abit shocked as its pretty clear we are eating, anyone could've seen that. We advise thc cleaner that we're in the middle of eating (as if it wasnt obvious?!) Check your cameras and you'll see i had a mouth full of food and was holding food in my hand at the time that he suddenly starts accessing the bins from the cupboard behind me! My partner them asked Him if it was necessary to do that RIGHT NOW while we're trying to eat and reminds him to be consoderate as we are still eating. However, he doesnt seem to acknowledge what we've asked him. He continued on about his duties and because of our kids in tow, we chose not to cause a scene to save face considering that our kids enjoyed their dinner. We advised one of the bar staff about the situation as it put a damper on what was otherwise a pleasant meal costing our little hardworking family over $100.
Please conaider training your staff to exercise good manners, consideration and common sense so this doesnt happen to anyone else. Nice food, nice set up but lacking in...
Read moreMe and my partner went here for dinner on a Saturday night.
We got 2 lots of Pork Spring Rolls from Viet Soul: They were amazing. Can't fault them at all. Hot & very flavourful. Also come with dipping sauce that was spot on.
Heihei Burger: Also amazing. Chicken was juicy. We got the little hot and it was the perfect amount of spice and their burger sauce was good.
Heihei Mac n cheese: Now I don't expect much from Mac n Cheese from fast food places as I know it'l be hard to maintain & all though it doesn't compare to home made Mac n cheese it was ok & im super glad I tried it. Best Mac n cheese I've had from a fast food establishment & it was piping hot which is a plus for me.
Heihei fries: I've been to heihei twice and both times the fries have been hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also has a nice flavoring.
Smashed As Burger: Honestly was average. Didn't really like the cheese they use. Edible but not something I specifically would buy again.
Could do with more frequent cleaning of tables. As nearly every table we went to sit at needed to be wiped or had food on the ground around it. If you are going for dinner & your sitting close to the doors it does get a little cold.
Over all good experience and will deffinately go back again to try everything else especially...
Read moreWe went around 5pm on a Sunday night for dinner, this is a very quiet time for the food court. No lines, some places with no custom at all. Please come support your local.
Pictured is: Lahmacun from WoodSpirit, this is the flatbread with spicy Lamb. Over all delicious, was hot and fresh. Great to share as a starter between two people. Yellow peppers are spicy so be aware of that's not your thing. ($17) Wait time not bad (10mins or so)
Kebab on Broadway: #6 lamb or steak (can't remember) with chicken on rice. This was great too the meat was fresh! Mind the pictures, I took them too late as I already ate. ($22). Wait time was longer than expected (15-20min)
India Rocks: Not pictured is the lamb Rogan Josh curry combo we ordered. Ordered mild, got a medium or something that was def spicy. Wait time was around 30mins, this was very strange as the Rogan Josh and rice are already precooked. So it was like we waited so long for a naan to be cooked. This can be improved and was a strange experience overall. The guy had to ask a few times what we ordered, our buzzer went off and we went to collect and our order wasn't even done yet. I would love to give it a second chance int he future, they need to work on their communication and...
