I have to say that the pricing of the food is too high. I've visited this place 2-3 times with friends, and most of us were dissatisfied with the prices. Despite this, I returned today hoping to just buy a piece of kebab with Naan. When I asked about the price and was told it was $28, I was shoked. I didn't say much and simply left. I am confused why something that typically costs $12-$15 elsewhere is sold here for nearly $30. Even the most expensive resturants prices are not this expensive. It gives the impression that your not really interested to encourage repeat visits which is kinda weird and strange. Also, I have noticed that you guys responding to critical reviews by suggesting the food might not be suitable for the reviewer seems so unprofessional and just arrogant. Anyway, good luck!
Update: I want to clarify that I'm not fabricating a story here. I simply wanted to place an order for a Kebab without any rice, sides, or drinks. Specifically, I was looking to order a kebab with one naan to enjoy in my car. Despite clearly stating my preferences, your reply included items I had no intention of ordering. This only reinforces my point about the unprofessionalism displayed in...
Read moreWas there on 26th April 2023 with my friend. while we searching for something new in recipe and taste another mate called and recommended this place as we where nearby. I say quite acceptable taste and quality of food ingredients and freshness. Biomass of food is Middle East size filled more than a normal for average or maybe because we ordered family pack that cover 3 at lease and we where two only. Their salad style was a bit of unsized match considering served food and needed a bit of work maybe; oh, should mention at the time lettuce prices was increased from $2.50 to $7.50 in Auckland. I was totally happy with service and quality, my friend a bit of complained for salad maybe because she likes more vegetables in food than me and prefer the veggies. And food preparation was in reasonable time as well. Quote original Afghan style decorations and partially huge size short tables covered by Persian or Afghan rug. Think it’s called Takht E Tavous style. I think you need to take shoes off if you choose those sit but not sure and didn’t ask either. Maybe better ask before walking on top while...
Read moreOne of Stoddard Road's best kept secrets. We've lived in the area for a very long time and knew we had to try this restaurant upon finding out about it.
We arrived for our first time and immediately sat while the waiter was behind us with our menus. He was great and did a great job looking after us. The food was exceptional - we ordered the mandu, Bajan borani and biryani and they all tasted spectacular. The tea was also very nice and complemented the food very well.
We went for a second time and weren't disappointed. We ordered the bolani, Bajan borani, mandu and pulao. Everything was just delicious. My cousin and I were just amazed at the attention to detail with the food and we were lucky enough to have the same waiter as we did the first time we came to the restaurant. The food was great and it was such a nice light lunch.
Prices are reasonable and you do get a lot of food that is tasty and delicious. We're definitely coming back again and frequently this...
