Savan's Bakery — Restaurant in Rodney

They own two bakery's the old location has never let me down but the new location over the other side of the street need to lift there game, just made a Order for chai lattes and have never had worst ones before in my life, it was like watery hot milk with out any flavour at all with a little spice chucked on the very top only, both me and my partner put our drinks in the rubbish, she also got a salad and beef sandwich witch she has had from them before but this time it only had beef and lettuce no tomato or cheese just full of lettuce, why call it a salad just call it beef and lettuce oO total BS also I felt very sorry for the two young girls on seemed they had no training at all and was just hired on the day, really disappointed I basically paid 21 dollars for a pie as everything else went...

Often when we’ve travelled to Warkworth, we’ve called in to Savan’s, as we did this week. This was the place to go. Has it changed hands? The food is not as great now. I had an egg sandwich. Something about taste of the egg, it was not great. Can’t recall what my wife had, but she didn’t enjoy it. We thought the apple turnover would help, but no, it was SO small, and the amount of apple inside was minimal. Didn’t buy a pie, why would you, when they cost $7.20? Way, way, over priced. Over pricing so noticeable, when we can get award winning pies at Hillpark Bakery in Auckland for $4.80 (don’t think they’re $5), and decent sized apple turnovers with plenty of apple for about $4. Any bakery that has a legit gold award on their window must be tried out. Very busy, actually had to wait for a while so definitely the best bakery in warkworth.

Mince cheese onion tomato pie 8.7/10 This was a banging combo, 2 big tomato slice, chunky onion, tasty cheese and mince mixture was so good. This will be my go to when i come back here.

Sausage roll 8.4/10 Simple sausage roll done right. No funky meat mix, just onions and S&P. must try.

Coffee cream doughnut 9.0/10 Wow. Was suprised how much i enjoyed this. Doughnut was so fresh and soft, cream was light and fresh as well. Coffee cream was overpowering, just the right balance.
