KFC Ashburton — Restaurant in South Island

We went through drive thru last night (Easter Monday) and we ordered 2x jumbo buckets along with extra 2x large coleslaws aswell as 2x large chips and one 1.5 litre coke. First of all, both the coleslaws were off, which we had to throw away, also 2x Large chips were not received, aswell as one of the large chips in the combo we did not receive either. I understand it was busy at the time, being Easter Monday, but this does not excuse staff not checking orders thoroughly as this order cost us $172 in total. We have found Ashburton to be the best KFC so always stop on our trips passing through. Today we were advised there may be cabbage with the lettuce as it is in short supply. OK with that. Got down the road and opened my zinger burger and it contained a bun, 3 small onion rings, zinger chicken and some mayo. No lettuce, cabbage, coleslaw or nothing else. Very disappointed. Just as well I had bought some pineapple rings at the dairy to add, as KFC don't do pineapple any more. Feel very ripped off from the days of the delicious Zinger works burger, that is no longer available. Too expensive...

To be somewhat critical, the coating on the chicken was insufficient but otherwise fine - this was posted a year ago.

On Monday 6th June I purchased a family meal for $73.37 and when I got home the chicken was a soggy mess with the coating coming off most of the chicken and a desert spoon of fat/oil at the bottom of the bucket. Very disappointing and the worst KFC I have ever had. Potato and gravy, and coleslaw was great. No change in 12 months, so wont be back anytime soon.
