Schnitz & Co - Timaru — Restaurant in South Island

Lovely service - I can see some people really like coming here on the reviews so really to your preference. I brought the chicken schnitzel for lunch to take-away. Personally the salad was tasteless for me - couldn't taste the dressing, ended up mixing the plum sauce in. The chicken looked dry on the outside but was tender inside. Chips required more salt - could of added if dinned in. Cost $14. Rated two star as I've eaten better food in timaru that I'd given 4 stars, just didn't think it was fair to rate close to that. I guess the good in Timaru is pretty average. Yet to find a place to 5 🌟 Eaten all over the place so have to be honest aye. Maybe I'll change it when I get used to eating the Timaru quality of food or if my cooking...

Was a great disappointment this time round. I ordered the schnitzel and did ask for the small BUT when meal came I could hardly see the schnitzel as it was no bigger than half a small hand "if that" this restaurant has not been consistent over the year with it's meals. The final straw was when we paid the lady in charge, she asked us how our meals were. As I started to tell her how I was disappointed in the meal she turned and walked away. We went lunch time, no one in place. Went to the bar and reluctantly got served by the young lady behind bar, no please, thank you, or how's your day. Meals arrived in about 10 minutes, I had schnitzel and the wife had pasta. The schnitzel looked and tasted like coated dog roll, and the pasta was very salty. No one came asked how our meals were. In fact if we wanted to see someone we would have to go and find them . They are not interested in there customers and we are not interested in going back.
