Panorama Motor Lodge — Hotel in South Island

Stayed last night and yuck!|I specifically asked for a sea view. Yes I could see the sea, but the people on the deck up a floor in front of me could see right into our lounge.|There were 3 people out on the deck almost constantly smoking YUCK. I didn't enjoy having their smoke invade my room.|The bed is hard. Linen clean.|Shower is DISGUSTING photo attached. The sink looked like someone shaved in it and haven't washed it. On closer inspection it was grime in lines of the old sink. A bit of chemco goes along way people!|We had people above us. I dont know if they were having a swingers party up there but all you could head all night was bang bang bang and chairs sliding on the floor.|Not to mention you can hear everyone around you. No insulation to help sound travel. Stairs outside the kitchen ensures every person can look directly into the full room.|Nothing on windows to try and give you privacy except curtains and then goodbye light or views.|The stairs are of a material you can hear every single step on them.|The inconsiderate drunk people screeching was...

Such a disappointment, it’s clear the unit had new carpet and care had been taken to refurbish this apartment however the musty smell was overwhelming! We arrived at dinner time so thought I’d adjust to the smell but when we arrived back the smell got more and more overwhelming it made me feel quite unwell. Opening windows was the only thing that helped but unfortunately due to the units location across from a service station and Burger King keeping the windows open didn’t feel safe or quiet. A very clean and spacious apartment but not good enough when I have to breathe through my jumper to keep nausea at bay! Even the extra blanket in the closet was musty I couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. I’d hate to think how anyone with breathing or lung issues would cope! Given the apartment was away from the main motel a simple mud map would be quality customer service. Especially for...

Perfectly situated on Bay Hill, with close access to restaurants and shops, and also Caroline Bay. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Room was showing a little bit of age, but certainly nothing that a little bit of paint, new bedspreads ect wouldn't fix. Fastidiously clean, everything was spotless. Bathroom had been renovated, and looked nice and modern. Mind the tiles, they are super slippery! TV in the lounge, and in the bedroom. Balcony with a view over the far side of Caroline Bay. Access stairs to the upstairs rooms seemed a little bit richorty and wobbly.

One thing it really needs is better curtains! They were so thin and let in so much light! :/

Ample parking, and as mentioned before, walking distance to the CBD. Maybe a little bit pricey for what it is, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate...
