I visited the bakery yesterday to buy lunch for 9 people, I was ignored by the young girl serving, instead she served everyone else that had just walked in.., I had to say excuse me I have been waiting for over 5 minutes for service..she said I didn't see you!!!! Um how do you not see someone standing at the counter between the pie warmer and service counter. I walked out with empty hands, I refuse to spend money in a place I felt unwelcome. I took my money elsewhere where I was acknowledged. . My review was one star as a reflection of the unpleasant experience that was had. There are so many choices in the mapua settlement for food, So our business was given to another business that was very welcoming and acknowledged us upon arrival. The response of the business owner to my review, merely reflects the experience had on the day of our visit..unwelcoming & rude!!! every customer whom walks in a business door should be acknowledged regardless of where they are standing,..customers are the bread and butter of every venture ..but thank you Mapua village bakery for you're response!! It shows where you stand on this matter, and that your customers dont seem to be valued. Hence why we are taking our money where...
Read moreMy parents went to this bakery earlier today, they waited an hour for their drinks to arrive to eat with their food, they were served by a young blonde girl, there were a-lot of people getting their orders before my parents even though they were there way before them, one lady next to them said “this is very unusual and not like them to make people wait this long” im not sure if its because of their skin colour since they are not of Caucasian decent, its very saddening to hear what has happened to my parents today on their anniversary lunch outing. This was their first time experiencing this type of bad customer service like this. They ended up cancelling their drink order and left. I don't think hiring those type of staff members is a good look mapua village bakery, discrimination is a bad look, do better or hire staff who aren’t...
Read moreI went into this lovely bakery one morning and was greeted by a very tall young blonde man, he was exceptionally helpful and helped me choose between the many amazing pies they had on offer. He made me a lovely cuppa tea, (he let it steep unlike many places). He helped me pick the best pies, he also made my partner an amazing coffee, and it was also very well priced (considering their remote location and quality)! All the food there was immaculately presented and service was so polite and informative. Seemed like the staff there really know their stuff and genuinely care about their patrons. I would never complain about paying a fair price for such high quality baked goods. Among other things we tried the seafood chowder pie, roast chicken pie, and steak pie. 12/10...
