Before heading back across to the other side of the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula, my sister and I decided to grab a light lunch in Thames. The main street in town certainly offers a large range of places to choose from! We ended up at Sugar Cafe, mostly because there was some street parking spots available outside! It was a fortuitous thing indeed.
This is a small cafe and every inside table was taken, which is always a good sign, so we had an outside bench. There was a good range of cabinet food available, perfect for a light lunch. In the end I chose a Chicken and Cheese panini whilst my sister chose a Ham and Cheese toastie. Service was very friendly and we did not have to wait long for our lunches.
The panini came warmed up and it was very tasty. one of the very best I have had recently. My sister's toastie was toasted to perfection. We were very satisfied with both!
