If you are not to fussy about your good or service this is an ok place to go. We had herb crusted fish which was more like herbed breadcrumbs on top of fish, not herb crusted. Service was friendly but inept i.e a glass of pinot (wine by the glass) lacked taste and we felt it had been open a while when we asked they had no idea how long since it was opened, exchaged it for a glass of merlot -not our preference- and sent what was left of the pinot to the kitchen for cooking..at least the staff tried I guess.

Honestly after living in NZ for 3 years, and other various places in Europe, I can say that the salmon here is the best I have tasted… The spices and the balance of flavors is just unbelievable ❤️ To make it better the staff was extremely nice and humble. I really recommend this place… don’t be mislead by the outside panel saying that it’s for sale. 🙏🏻🇳🇿❤️

Our group of 17pax dined here, it was lovely. Nice ambience and the staff were polite and accommodated us upon arrival. It was a busy saturday dinner service as it was packed of locals. I had scotch fillet and it was nice, a bit small for the price I guess. Overall we had a great night. A must visit when your down Thames.

Came here recently for Lunch with my family for an occasion while my bother was visiting from Australia for the first time in 2 years. We thought the perfect place as everyone raves about how good the GBD is. The food was great, however steak was very tough. Coming from someone who also works in hospitality, the service was slow and the way we were treated as customers was terrible. It took 15 minutes for a round of 3 beers to arrive at our table, and as my family are big drinkers, they started ordering another round as soon as the next had come out. As a group we must have spent over $300, so when my brothers were told off by Greyana for doing this, and told that it was impolite and to have some patience, I was shocked and disappointed. If your customers are making you money, you DO NOT speak to them this way. My family left here feeling VERY unhappy, which was a pretty poor start for our first lunch out together in 2 YEARS. We will not be returning to spend...

This was the second time That I have dined at GBD. The first time I found the food absolutely exquisite So , yesterday I went again for my birthday. I ordered the same items from the menu as before. Sadly, It was very disappointing. The prawns, that were so delicious last time, were mushy, the sauce had an extra component making them pink and did not present the same as last time. Prawns should have an agreeable "bite" to them, these were just mushy and not pleasant to eat. I ordered the deep fried Brie, it was cold and the cheese had reverted back to a hardening, dull consistency. Not nice at all. The ceaser salad was overloaded with flaked cooked salmon, the slab of melted Parmesan was stale and quite nasty to eat and there were about five croutons in the dish. very underwhelming. The entire meal and one bottle of wine cost me $110.00. The entire experience was so not worth it. What a waste of money and anticipation, extremely...

We arrived on a Friday night at 7.30 and what a vibrant place this was. Authentic old world decor with old phones and radios to look at. This made the place really interesting and cool to be at. Staff were busy but friendly. Waitress was excellent. Knew her stuff and was friendly and professional. Great selection of beers. Menu was detailed and it all sounded yummy. Food waiting time was about right for us allowing enough time for 2 drinks and time to soak up the atmosphere. Food was absolutely top notch. I couldn't have asked for my steak to be nicer. Was hot, tender, exactly how I had asked for it. So nice. My wife had the duck and she was extremely satisfied too. We didn't want to leave so we shared a piece of Grahams Pecan pie and that was very delicious indeed. Highly highly highly recommend this place. Absolutely...
