This was such a wonderful find. Beautiful historic building, simply decorated and amazingly clean and tidy for its age. Hosts were so friendly and gave lots of helpful suggestions for how to spend our time in Thames.

I heartily encourage anyone to stay here. You’re guaranteed a warm welcome, the cleanest, most comfortable rooms and an absolutely...
Read moreHotel is a very beautiful and one of the oldest buildings in New Zealand. Was told brief history of it when checking in. The building has a great 19th century style and it's a pleasure to stay there, not only in your room but in the kitchen, garden, play/reading room (books, pool, chess etc.) or the big balcony in front where you can sit with a drink and relax. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. Very quiet area near the Victoria Park and coastal walkway but also short walk from a busy city center. Breakfast was great with a variety of food to choose from. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else...
