Queen Street Starbucks is always busy, but certainly one of the cosiest cafes around the cbd. There is an upstairs mezanine sort of place to sit down and look out across the intersection with Victoria Street. Food, merch, and consistent quality beverages hot or cold, with or without caffeine, are served to you in under 6 minutes. Starbucks has by far the widest variety of drinks to offer, and you can customise any to your liking! The blended ice drink frappuccinos are certainly my favourite, and are especially good with an added espresso shot or chocolate chips if I feel inclined. Not keen on milk? You can ask for your drink to be made with non fat, soy or coconut milk. Take your own cup and get 40c off your order (just make sure you know what size drink your cup can hold). Get a loyalty stamp card, name it, and present it while you order and every 7th drink will be free.

My husband and I visited Starbucks at 220 Queen Street yesterday 18/2/2024. There were quite a number of customers there but we managed to find two chairs for us. Upon arriving at the shop, there were still lots of used paper plates and coffee cups on most of the tables near the entrance. Therefore, we decided to sit on a high table opposite the cashier counter. We ordered two cups of flat white, a raspberry and white chocolate muffin and two strawberry macaroons. Coffee was not so good but muffin was delicious. Customers have to request a passcode from the staff there for using their toilets. The lady toilet was clean but the ventilation system was so bad that someone’s poo poo smell persistently overwhelmed the whole toilet while using the toilet there. Some exhaust fans should be installed to prevent such problems. All staff there are very young and look like university undergraduates who are doing their part-time weekend jobs there so there are not much customer service there. No greetings or thank you to customers. Anyway, it still worths a try if you live in Auckland CBD or happen to drive past Queen Street.

On the morning of February 15, on my way to work, I stopped at starbucks Queen street to buy drinks for my friend and me. Everything is very good but only one thing is the attitude of an Asian girl staff named Alice. This staff member's attitude is very bad, she was very annoyed when I wanted to add a pump of coffee to my two drinks. She also checked my order with a very hostile attitude and spoke in a very disrespectful way towards me. I hope the manager at the store should review this employee's attitude so as not to affect the experience of other customers.

Updating my review for this Starbucks and giving them 5 stars now. They renovated this branch, added more seating, and cleaned up the place. The staff are more attentive and accommodating. The coffee improved a lot and their nitro cold brew is really good. Kudos to Starbucks and their staff! ----- The food and drinks are standard Starbucks but this is probably the worst Starbucks in New Zealand. It's dirty, dated, and the service is really bad. It's always busy so we don't expect too much here but now, some of the baristas/cashier are just rude. :(
