Elliott Stables is a must-visit place in Auckland. My husband and I visited Elliott Stables twice during our Auckland trip. The first time we had Streaker burger and Vanilla shake from Smash Bros and Pancetta pizza and Fettuccini Alfredo pasta from De Niro Ristorante. The Streaker burger was the best burger I have ever had in my life! It was so good that I had to get up in the middle of my meal to compliment the chef. It was absolutely amazing!!! My husband said that his Vanilla shake was one of the best milkshakes he had in New Zealand. The Pancetta pizza was also absolutely delicious. The Fettuccini Alfredo pasta was delicious, just your standard Fettuccini Alfredo pasta flavours so you cannot go wrong with pasta. The second time we came we had Skillet cornbread, Texas beef brisket, and Jambalaya from Bonz Cajun Kitchen and Angry bird bao, Philly cheese steak bao, and Pork and prawn dumplings from Bao Baby Bao. The Skillet cornbread was sooooo good. They make it fresh when you order so it is nice and warm when it reaches your table. The butter on the top of the bread had no chance to melt because we eat it so quickly. Beyond delicious!! The Texas beef brisket and Jambalaya were also very delicious. The Jambalaya had a bit of spiciness which was amazing. I loved the chunks of sausage and rice inside Jambalaya. Out of the two baos that we ordered we both preferred Angry bird bao because the chicken was so delicious and moist while the sauce had an amazing flavour. The Pork and prawn dumplings were also very delicious. The actual dumpling was cooked to perfection. Overall, we had an amazing time at Elliott Stables. If we had more time, we would have been back for a third time to try other restaurants like...
Read moreSo I heard about how good this place is and so I went for my Birthday with family during non peak times 2pm (so it would be quieter), this was after reading the open times for Eliot stables online saying "Open between 7am - 10pm" or "9am - 10pm"
We arrived there, found one store already closed and I walked around to make orders on each store I wanted food from, the response? "Sorry we are closed" "We are now closed" "We don't have that, Sorry".
There obviously needs to be some clarity about the closing times of each individual shop to prevent this from happening to other people who don't visit the place often. As people like me just read the open times for Eliot stables as a whole thinking that is when food is actually available.
All in all made my birthday a lot worse than it could have been if there was more...
Read moreA nicely situated upmarket food court. I've visited many a time and tried a good amout of the eateries here. The inner dining area is slightly too crowded for comfort so getting a table in one of the eateries is the best way to go. As a vegetarian, I feel as though the choices for myself are few and far. Most of the eateries are heavily meat based and will each only offer one or two vegetarian dishes. I'd hope to see a more varied menu for each place that is more allergy or intolerant friendly. One of my favourite places here is Deniro Ristorante. I have ordered their vegetarian risotto without cheese and they did so easily (which I find can be hard to ask at some places). Overall a nice higher end dining 'village' that holds its own...
