Original review 2022 Coffee and full breakfast. Both delicious. Really friendly staff, had a nice chat. Bacon crispy, which is the way I like it. Updated review 2024
Located right across the road from the sea, this charming cafe is a hidden gem for anyone looking to indulge in some comfort food while enjoying stunning ocean views. The French toast here is simply divineâcrispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with a generous drizzle of syrup and fresh seasonal fruits, itâs the perfect morning treat.
Their coffee is equally impressive, brewed to perfection with rich, bold flavors that complement the food wonderfully. Whether you're sipping a cappuccino or enjoying a smooth espresso, the drinks are served piping hot, enhancing the overall experience.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, with sea breezes flowing through the open windows, making it a delightful spot to relax, read, or watch the waves roll in. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring youâre well taken care of without being intrusive. If you're a fan of great food, fantastic coffee, and a serene coastal atmosphere, this cafe should be on your...
Read moreWhat a team of hospo heroes! We arrived on a busy sunny Sunday arvo. Lovely gentleman offered to move one of the outside tables from the shade to the sunshine on the grass. Magic spot looking at the water. I Took my mum. Same guy brought water to our table while I was inside and he chatted to Mum. She was beaming when I came out at how wonderfully heâd treated her. I noticed he was the same with all the other customers. Took the time to make everyone feel special despite the cafe being busy. We ate a lovely meal of prawns n salad and had a great iced coffee that really hit the spot. An equally lovely and accommodating lady brought our food to the table. These guys deserve a Michelin star for their service. Truly passionate about what they do and show great care for their customers. Nice selection of food at reasonable prices too. And you canât beat the location. A genuinely perfect experience. ...

It was too windy today for the outside tables but there is that option. Because I wear hearing aids I struggled to hear him speak behind his mask above the chatter of the other diners. The menu had a good range of choices plus there were muffins and sandwiches in a cabinet. The teapot had an insert for the English Breakfast tea-leaves which was nice to see rather than a teabag. The iced coffee looked and tasted yummy. There was room between the tables to pull out chairs without bumping others and to walk to the Restroom which had a nice decorative accent in one corner. Plates were cleared away without us feeling rushed. Stop and admire the view of the water as you leave or wander into the historic Evans Bay boat slip next door and read the panels...
