Coolsville Cafe — Restaurant in Wellington

I stopped by with my youngest after a walk through the town belt. He was tired and hungry, looking for something familiar (as fussy eaters do). We'd seen smoothies on the menu and he loves banana smoothies. It looked like banana or berry smoothies on the menu, but turned out to be banana and berry. Despite the obviously wrong colour, he tried it and liked it. A win in the end, but so close to defeat. The stools at the window were far too tall for him, but it was manageable. The toilet is ludicrously small, more suited to situations not requiring an accompanying parent, but it was manageable. The selection of snacks and cakes was impressive. I'd go again to just try my way around, but...

A real surprise. Caught out with pub not yet open we caught Coolsville just as it was closing. Great effort from the counter though. Still willing to do two Americanos and warm up both a Reuben sandwich and a wonderfully layered frittata.

We are at the table outside. The Reuben was the full fig. Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, onions and corned beef in generous profusion. Like holding a three course meal in your hand. Excellent value from a place that's a nice cross between an eaterie and a welcoming...

Coolsville Cafe never disappoints! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing — perfect for a morning coffee or quiet afternoon break. The barista’s attention to detail shows in every cup — my latte had perfect texture and beautiful latte art (as you can see 😍). The coffee was smooth, rich, and just the right temperature.
