Cynical man at counter made negative comments to us as we walked in. When ordering he stipulated how basic his food was and almost dissed us for asking for extra information about his food. The decor was scruffy and dirty. The seating was uncomfortable. We sat outside on cheap wonky metal table and chairs. I ordered the ham omelet. Omelet arrived and I immediately regretted ordering it. It was tasteless and the ham was the cheap supermarket type. Overall I felt ripped off and definitely would not recommend. To the Owner I'd say smarten this joint up...
Read moreIf you haven’t then you should visit Le Maquis Cafe tucked away in a quiet part of the Wadestown area. Bus stop is handy. The owner, Bruce will entertain you in a range of topics. The interior is reminiscent of older style European cafes where one meets to read, relax and indulge in conversation. There is a piano in the house and everyone is welcome to play. Small concerts take place along with other events that focus in the owner, Bruce’s interest. Coffee is as good as the city and food available.
