Rachelle's Kitchen — Restaurant in Wellington

We saw this cafe on the breakfast show and were interested in their special pies in March. We live in the bay of Plenty and were going to be at raumati beach for a few days. So, on a cold rainy day we drove and searched this place out and walked by just before closing time. The girl was mopping the floor but was very happy to invite us in. The special pies weren’t available until the next day but they had some cold pies available to purchase to take away. We got a chicken and leek pie and a steak with creamy mushrooms pie to take away. We had those for our dinner tonight and both were devine. So full of tender meat. I wish I had bought more to bring home…..online orders available??? Or we will just have to go...

I've been frequenting here and the coffee is incredibly consistent and top-notch, the food is fantastic to the point of note-worthy significance (i.e this is my first ever review!) with the constantly rotating variety making it one of the few places in little ol' Waikanae that actually tries something unique.

All staff I've encountered have been consistently pleasant and accommodating, I have full confidence this place will pop off.

I placed an order to try some of the pies and meals. I am so pleased I did. The Breakfast pie was a real treat packed fill with egg, bacon, frankfurters, chorizo & possibly more. I loved the Macaroni & Cheese which was enough for two lunches. I have also been impressed by the service I have received over the phone. I will now place another order so nice to find somewhere local willing to go out of the way to please...
