The price is ridiculous for the size (small) considering that in Australia it’s $6-$8 for a large one. She microwaved and toasted the bread and after waiting around 8 minutes we finally received our roll just for it to have coriander (my dad is allergic and we asked her NOT to put it on when ordering). Obviously we wanted it remade or a refund but instead of listening to our constant pleas, the woman ignored us and picked it all out while licking sauce/pate off of her fingers. We again told her we couldn’t accept the food and at that point we wanted our money back. We had given her $15 originally and she had not given us our $1 change, then proceeded to only give us $1 when we asked for a refund. We managed to get all our money back but we’ll never get our time back. Absolutely crazy how highly rated this place is considering everything, stay clear of this location.

Been here a few times since they moved to avondale and so satisfied with the quality all round 😍🙌🏾 The owner is lovely, service is quick and food tastes amazing.. My go to dish is the Pho Noodle Soup 🤤 but the chicken salad & spring rolls (both fresh or fried) hit the spot too.. whatever you try it'll have a great variety of flavours, always be fresh & delicious, filling but not heavy and a true delight as the name implies! One of our staple takeaway locations now

Never judge a book by its cover, or a banh mi by a poor photo! Banh mi Delights Avondale in Auckland is my last stop on my Banh mi adventure of NZ, and with changing plans comes a quick google search and a random Banh mi lunch stop. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get but the recent reviews seems pretty good. And for good reason, packed with punch this was. Lemongrass beef with extra chilli and my tastebuds were singing. Glad my plans changed. 👏

I am slowly making my way through their entire menu, which also includes Vietnamese coffee, but I keep coming back to the Banh Mi because they are so tasty! Very friendly service and hard working staff, with long hours to ensure you can get a great feed at a reasonable price here from 8a-6p daily.

Another hooked, local, satisfied customer.

*Update 17 March: My favourite coffee now is the Vietnamese coffee on offer here - it is by far the best I have ever had! Only $2.50 and the iced version is $5.00, both have great flavour and are just a little bit on the sweet side, which I like. So they have great food and great...

I just can't get enough of the best sandwich in the world it's a mixture of french and Vietnam the baguette is crispy and fresh and traditionally it is filled with slow roasted pork one side of the baguette has patte the other has mayonnaise topped with spring onion corriander and carrot and a saratcher chilly sauce I get the vegitarian option witch is great I can only imagine what the original version is like either way it works for me I'm getting hungry just...
