Curry King Indian Takeaway — Restaurant in Whau

I've eaten a lot of butter chicken in my life but this was hands down rancid 🤢🤮 I'm very polite and maths isn't a strong point for me but I ordered 2x $9.90 all day butter chicken special and one $2 can and the rude man at the counter charged me $22 👀 No skin off my nose but I'm a person of principle. There was/is a tiny amount of chicken in the meal and it tasted like a couple if days on the toilet so I left it. As I left the man muttered something quietly to his worker, so I turned around to see if he was asking for a jab and he hastily turned around and scuttled out the back. This place is a health and safety risk and I'll never be going back again unless it's to grab my 20 cents back to flick at his dome. How this place is running I do not know but I know for sure that if I'm stuck spewing out both ends tomorrow they're going to learn why it's best to serve people...

This is one of my favorite takeaway places in Auckland for Indian food. I have ordered from them many times and the delivery is always on time. The food specifically is excellent. What most indian places in NZ don't understand is that adding sugar to the already hot food neither makes it mild nor makes it Indian. This place however always gives me great mild curries and not a single ounce of sugar in it. The food is delicious and I can taste all the spices without it burning my taste buds. This tell me that the curries are made to order and are fresh. I would gladly order from them any day. If you haven't tried them I suggest go try!!! Was craving Indian and felt too tired to get in the car and visit my tried and true Indian Restaurant in Sandringam. Found Curry King on Uber Eats and ordered Rogan Josh and garlick Naan Sadly, after the wait and a charge of about 28 bucks, i found the main to be awful. I actually doubt that what was provided was lamb, it was very tough overcooked and the sause was nasty, like tomato paste. The rice and naan were ok, but the main was so bad I will never order again.
