Guava Cocktail and Tapas Bar — Restaurant in Wuse II

Had cocktails and dinner here. Had a total of 5 cocktails, some hummus with tortilla chips, delightful coconut shrimp bao buns and some wings with hand cut fries.

The flavour of the food was amazing and I loved the hummus and the dipping sauce for the bao buns.

The mixology on display at Guava is admirable as I entrusted my fate 3 times to the bartender to serve up a drink of his choice to me barring ‘vodka’. (Because I do not like Vodka). And 3/3 times he/she came through with delicious cocktails. The whiskey was not overpowering and I could taste some passion fruit in some of the drinks. It was overall nicely made, very cold uniformly. No suprises with uneven temperatures whilst drinking and even towards the end of the drink did not taste watered down.

Solid 9/10 on all fronts. Service was also good. I think the wait time was decent.

I’d only like to see what the content of the signature/house and classic drinks are as they are not reflected on the menu and as such I had to ask each time what each drink contained.

Would definitely go again...

I loved the vibe of the place, great decor, great music and the games they have are a good touch. We ordered off a special brunch menu. I had the goat meat linguine, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, but my people didn’t enjoy their seafood boil thing. It was a good experience nevertheless. Will definitely be going...
