Grillzhut by Derda Garden (Wuse,Zone 5) — Restaurant in Wuse

The location is within a residential area so it probably would explain why it wasn't as busy as it would've been if situated elsewhere. The lighting is very poor and should be improved as we could barely make out our way when we visited. The customer service is APALLING! Firstly, a lady offered us a menu for drinks (palmwine) and when we said we were not interested, she rudely walked away. Then the lady who served us drinks decided to bail on us with our balance after payment and kept us waiting under the rain. After a needless 15mins wait, we decided to approach another vendor to complain and he gave us the balance. On our way out, we saw the lady hiding somewhere, reminded her and she feigned amnesia. Needless to say we will NEVER return. The reason I bothered to drop 2 stars is because the ABACHA was very tasty and a different vendor gave us our balance. Everything else is a thumbs down!...

It's a decent open air bar. They've done well with the arrangement and design. However, you should avoid going there earlier than 4pm as they probably won't be fully set up if you go earlier. I arrived around 3pm and you could see they weren't fully open. It took ages to prepare food requested because of that. Had to wait more than an hour.

Confirm what they have available and save yourself the stress of going through the menu for nothing. And oh, they also don't hold back on spicy meals. They take the "pepper" in pepper soups VERY literally. Grilled meat for rice isn't left out either.

Wear protective clothing against mosquitoes. They use an insecticide that can trigger asthma attacks in chasing them away.. So, have your inhaler handy if...

Grillzhut by Derda is a nice garden with really gorgeous setting. I am in awe of the setting.

It is a new place, still trying to put finishing touches here and there. Things might have changed, I forgot to review early enough. I visited July 2,2021.

The staff are good and makes effort to render a great service but unfortunately, my fish was over seasoned, like it was salty, I barely could eat it.
