Papillion Restaurant — Restaurant in Wuse

During my short stay at the Sheraton, Papillon Restaurant was possibly my favourite restaurant there. The location of the restaurant in the hotel is quite strategic and pretty nice. It was probably the first thing I noticed as I was going to my room. The staff are very polite and professional, the meals however are not so versatile.

I had the breakfast buffet and couldn't really find convenient options except English breakfast options. A few other guests complained too. But the ambience was lovely with the fountain and we'll nurtured garden, Magnificent! Having both the indoors and Outdoors seating was also a good one and I must say this was the first time I was having buffet that came with complimentary drinks which wasn't coffee or tea and I believe that's a good thing. If you want to enjoy a nice serene meal in Abuja in an exotic nature friendly environment, Papillon Restaurant in Sheraton is your go to place.

My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary. We had been about 4 years back and enjoyed the quality of food so we thought it would be a good place to celebrate. We went for the buffet and we were immediately under impressed with the variety of their offering. Other buffets we have been to have been much richer in selection, so we were immediately thrown off by that. Waiters had to be reminded to clear your plates, some food were cold. We ended up spending more time at the salad bar because the variety truly was poor. All in all, it wasn't a bad outing and that's why it got a 3 star, but be ready to spend 10,000 per person to eat here. It is definitely not cheap, which we would not have minded if it had the same variety of choices we remembered from...

So we had a buffet here and the ambience of the restaurant was decent, well-lit while the music was just the right mix of old school blues and some jazz.

The buffet spread, a mix of Nigerian cuisine and continental dishes was enough to appease even the most hungry Nigerian. And kept getting refills from the kitchen.

We ate to our heart's delight and the mood was light and the banter amongst friends laughing made for the perfect background.
