Pascal Mat og Vin - Restaurant Lucullus — Restaurant in Bergen

My mother and I booked a room last minute in June at the Scandic Neptun after an AirBnB booking went sideways. The first night we wound up at Pascal after discovering the hotel bar was under construction. The bar’s selection wasn’t relocated to Pascal or any other part of the hotel. I’m a cocktail girl, but Pascal's wine choices were good and I enjoyed the Prosecco. The second night we returned for dinner: I had the mussels with apples & dill and my mother had the soup, Both were well prepared. Pascal seems to get a lot of local patrons, which I suppose is a good sign for a restaurant within a hotel. The waitresses both nights were a bit scattered & disinterested. One waitress was unfairly scolded by a woman dead set on sitting at a table already reserved - a bizarre and borderline amusing scene to witness - but she held it together. It was our first time to dine in Pascal resto which is located inside the Scandic Neptun Hotel,super convenient not just for the guest in the hotel but also to other visitors.The ambiance was unique.I ordered a Dagens menu I was curious because there was no name neither the price stated.So they served me a fish,with delicious sauce ,and veggies on the side.Everything was set gracefully and art.Unforseen experience i had but i have to ordered one more time because the fish didn't agree on my taste.Thr order will take around 15 to 30 mins.As the new meal have it on my table it's still the same i couldn't eat the fish i ate the veggies.Aged people weakens there sense of taste so they cannot differentiate the umami.For the young taste bud it will automatically react to the savoriness of the food.I was thinking that the age factor is relevant.
