It is an Italian restaurant. Not bad at all. Even though the chefs are Spanish, but I would not nitpick about it. Fully crowded, so you better reserve your tables in time. I had a House Lasagne and my partner had a Quattro Formaggio pizza. Lasagne were fine, nice crispy on top, but lacking overall flavor. It depends also on cooking style. I would definitely add a bit more cheese and basil. Onto the pizza now, so it is a white pizza with four types of cheese on top. Predominantly you can only taste gorgonzola, but it is because of the flavor intensity itself. What I liked about the pizza was how dense it was, because of all that cheese, and they actually know how to make a pizza bun, which is more on the soft side. If you like crispier bun, you might not get it here. There are no general complaints, the food is decorated nicely on the plate and we waited around 20mins to get served our dishes. My only realistic complaint is that it is pricey. So expect to plunge deeper into your pockets while visiting this place. For Italian cuisine, check this place out. And since I traveled Italy numerous times, I can easily tell what is Italian food or not. Solid food in La Pergola, but a tad overpriced....
Read moreOrdered food at La Pergola for the first time and was disappointed in the quality of the dishes I ordered. It was expensive so I thpught it would be some kind of gourmet italian resturant. Ordered pasta bolognese. I can say they know how to conserve as much ingredients as possible. It was supposed to be a lunch menu, but to a price that high as 149 kr. I wasn’t expecting it to be “kid sized” I’m not that picky when it comes to overcooked pasta’ but this was too much. My mother also ordered a dish of pasta bolognese and it didn’t meet our expectations either. My mother also ordered a chocolate fromarsh. Well turned out it contained coffee in it although it wasn’t included in the dish’s description in the menu. I hate to talk negatively, but got...
Read moreLet me start of by saying the pasta was really good. Full of flavour and just the right texture. Maybe a little too much flavour as it was a little bit hard to really taste some of the fresh ingredients. Only real downside was that we had to wait over 35-40 minutes for the food, and no one told us it would be such a long wait.
The service was nothing spectacular, but I suspect that has something to do with being understaffed as I saw everyone running around and some being really stressed. Hopefully they'll fix that soon. I know this is a problem for most restaurants at the moment, so fingers crossed they'll find some capable people...
