sometimes the flavours and sensations of a meal can bring you back to meals you've had in the past. That happened when I had the "Hen stew" at Rosendal Kafé. It brought me back to that autumn I moved out of my parents' house to start university and had to start cooking for myself. Specifically it reminded me of that time I bought a bag of frozen chicken thinking it was good value, I took it straight from the freezer and onto the frying pan, somehow I managed to cook it, but it was chewy and flavourless. The meal was served with some overcooked rice and sweet chili sauce from eldorado. Anyway, those same feelings of emptiness came back after eating the Hen stew at Rosendal Kafé. At approx 170-180 kr you got a tiny bowl of that chewy flavorless chicken along with a couple of potatoes and carrots, everything with literally zero flavour, not to mention the so called broth seemed to be some pour-over tea water.
