Sabrura Sticks & Sushi — Restaurant in Trondheim

The cashier was super rude and no other workers were walking around the restaurant, just the backroom. We had reserved a table for 3 people at 6:30, we got there exactly on time, but the cashier didn't even try to seat us or check on the reservation. She pointed us to a table from the register that only was set for 2 people. We sat down anyway and tried to order after maybe 5 minutes looking at the menu. We went to the cashier to order a vegetarian buffet and a regular buffet but she said she couldn't do a vegetarian buffet. So, I just asked if I could have the vegan combo instead, but she said I can't order anything because the kitchen was closed (even though we were on time for our reservation). She said at the very most, I could eat from the buffet but there was only 1 roll of vegetarian maki. For the price of a buffet, it's pretty ridiculous to only get one roll of maki. Not sure why they allow reservations for 6:30 if they close their kitchen...

I have been to almost every Sabrura restaurants in Trondheim but sabrura city lade is the worst when it comes to service. Did not get a good vibe , tables were empty , no papers, chopsticks and soyas ready as in other places, waiter (or it was only one waiter) were not fast enough to clear the old tables, remove the used ones. The water station was almost out of bottles with water, tap was not working. When my friend asked for salmon sushi without chilli mayo to one of the kitchen staffs, she did not seem that happy. She started talking to the waiter in another language than Norwegian or English, and but it seemed like both of them were absolutely not happy for what we asked for. They fixed us some sushi without chilli mayo though. Not gonna go there again. Was in Sabrura Solsiden a couple of weeks ago, it was totally another level of service and...

The restaurant has entrances from 2 sides on 2 different levels. Of which only one is wheelchair /stroller compatible. This fact is not clearly marked.

The atmosphere is ok. The layout is not well handled and noise can be an issue due to bad acoustics.

The food was a let down. The restaurant keeps premade rolls in boxes that they use to fill up the buffet. The fried scampi in the rolls where soggy from being stored to long. Making something supposed to be crunchy a wet chewy mess.

Competes with the Sabrura at city syd for worst restaurant in the chain.

Can't believe it's even the same chain as the one...
