From the moment we stepped into Ba Ban Restaurant in Muscat, we were treated to an unforgettable culinary experience marked by excellence in every detail. This establishment sets the bar incredibly high, not only with the quality of its cuisine but also through its impeccable service and warm hospitality.

Special praise must go to Abanoub and Aji, who made our evening exceptionally memorable. They truly read every wish from our lips – attentive, kind, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we were completely satisfied. Their service was not only professional but also heartfelt, which made us feel exceptionally welcome and valued as guests.

We had pre-ordered the whole Peking duck two weeks in advance, and it exceeded all expectations. The duck was roasted to absolute perfection – crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, and beautifully presented. It was served in the traditional way, with all the accompaniments, and carved expertly at the table. Truly a masterpiece.

But it wasn’t just the duck that impressed us. Every single dish we ordered was a delight – from starters to desserts. Each plate was presented with artistic care, the ingredients were of the highest quality, and the flavors were balanced, authentic, and refined. You could clearly tell that the chefs put great passion and attention into their craft.

The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was elegant yet inviting, with a stylish interior that added to the overall luxury experience. The staff worked in perfect harmony, and everything was coordinated with grace and efficiency.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Baban Restaurant – Avoid at All Costs!

My family, friends, and I (13 people in total) were eagerly looking forward to spending our New Year's holidays in Muscat, Oman. We decided to make reservation for January 2nd, 2025 at Baban Restaurant, which is considered a high-end place. We visited the restaurant in person on December 30th, 2024 to check the setting and make a reservation. The atmosphere seemed fine and we specifically requested seating in the designated smoking area, which was one of our key requirements. The hostess assured us there would be no issues with our reservation for January 2nd for 13 people and that our requested seating was available. After making the reservation, we were informed that due to the size of our group, we would need to select a set menu, which we agreed upon after several days of communication to confirm the details about the food. Everything seemed fine and we were looking forward to the evening.

However, when we arrived on January 2nd, we found that our table was not prepared in the designated area as promised. The manager came over and simply apologized but offered no solution. She suggested splitting our group between two tables - one in the outdoor area and the other inside. This was completely unacceptable, especially for the last evening of our vacation together.

The staff was incredibly unprofessional and showed no willingness to make things right. Ultimately, we were forced to leave the restaurant, at the last minute to find another restaurant, book taxis, travel more than 30 minutes to find a table that could accommodate all 13 of us.

This experience was beyond disappointing and ruined our last night in Oman. The lack of professionalism and respect for customers at BaBan is astonishing! I will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant...

Last night, my colleagues and I had the pleasure of dining at Ba Ban and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience, thanks to both the incredible food and the exceptional service provided by Paul.

The culinary journey began with a selection of traditional Chinese appetizers that set the tone for the evening. We started with the dumplings, which were perfectly steamed and packed with flavor. The crispy spring rolls were also a hit.The Peking Duck, however, stole the show. The skin was crispy, and the meat was succulent, wrapped in thin pancakes with hoisin sauce and sliced green onions. Each dish was a testament to the chef's expertise and attention to detail.

What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding service provided by Paul.He was incredibly accommodating and patient, ensuring that all our requests were met with a warm smile. Not only did he expertly guide us through the menu with recommendations tailored to our tastes, but he also went above and beyond by acting as our photographer and videographer for the night😆
