Mado Mall of Oman — Restaurant in Muscat

So I ordered the Adana kebab and one of the meat strips taste well off. I asked if this is fresh and they kindly took the meal away. Normally I wouldn’t have written here but I ordered something else something I think they will not likely to mess up. Sadly the pasta, I repeat the pasta meal was a disaster. The cream and cheese again mixed into pasta was poorly executed. It felt stringy and cheap. The only thing I felt that was done right is the bread (complimentary) and the biscuit whic came with the tea. By the way. I ate like 10% of the pasta. I had to eat something as I had missed lunch earlier. The staff wasn’t that helpful. Kept giving me the stares. All I have to say is this. If you keep the quality good then people will come. Before going to Mado, consider that, more or less, half of what you pay here is for the location. The price of the items in the menu does not reflect the quality of the food you receive.

I had Ezegin soup with beef pide. The soup was tasty but very little in portion. The beef pudding was average at best.

The staff are very polite and considerate, but there is an irritating attitude in restaurants in Turkey, which is carried over here as well. The moment you put the last piece of the food into your mouth, the waiters dive onto your table, getting all the empty plates. Love the location of Mado in Oman Mall overlooking the snow. We ordered the soujouk menemen which is basically scrambled eggs with spices, tomatoes and sausage. It was flavorful and not too heavy, the accompanying bread was satisfactory. We also ordered cheese pide which was served hot, the cheese melts in your mouth which I really liked. The orange juice was fresh as well. My friend ordered Turkish coffee which came with a little ice cream cone and turkish candy (so cute!).
